• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Welcome Back, CafeHusky

Ladies, thank you for the hard work.
Hopefully a long term solution can be had.
Years of effort and work have gone into this site, mostly on the shoulders of just a few.
I hope Coffee is doing well and feeling good.
Let’s figure it out and keep it going.
Thanks to everyone!

Great job! Thank you so much for the hard work. As a side note, does this website have all this information backed up somewhere should it go down again? I would hate to think that it could all disappear in a swipe from the magical internet wand.

I've learned so much from this site, so I would also like to donate at some point to help ensure it stays going, whether its a shirt that includes the site fee or something.....

We would like to run a backup, and we are researching the options to do that, besides the archives that already exist. Archives don't run in real time.

You Lady's Rock!! I think this site is why I use my computer, that's what the wife says. How do WE make this a Permanent solution? Like others have said, there is a F...Ton of info here that can be lost post-haste. I am very greatful to you Lady's for the work it must have taken to get it up again. THANK YOU!! Chris

My 04 TC 450 teared up when he read this. LOL- Seriously thank you , I believe many of us would love to participate in long term solution.

Haven't been here lately as much as I used to to be honest since we got our boat, so I was shocked to see the domain up for sale and didn't know what to think.
I'm not sure what's going on but I really hope our fearless leader is doing better.

Also, I want to thank Tami and Mimi and anyone else that his name ends with a mi (or not) that had anything to do with resurrecting this great Husqvarna resource.

I'm voting WoodsChick and Dirtdame for 2020 !!!

we should all offer some $$$ funds to help keep this up and running. we all owe the ladies a lot for their hard work along w hardware that it take to keep this site up. PayPal tami ??
