• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Why is it Husqvarna bikes seem to age so much more gracefully than most other bikes?

Hi there
I am new to this sight and also new to Husky ownership, so i hope it will be a pleasant experience on both levels :)

Hi

I'm Harry and I live in Saltburn, a seaside town in North Yorkshire, England. I ride a recently acquired 2008 used TE450 which replaced a DRZ400. The riding over here is on green lanes which range from wide unmade roads (not many) to narrow muddy and rutted tracks (lots). I also run an 2005 1200GS BMW used for touring. Biking keeps me sane!

Terry here. Hermosa Beach Ca. New to Husky. Was on a KTM and thought I would try something different. Nice site. You've done and outstanding job. I've been lurking here some. Very positive vibe, lots of nice folks with great advice. Hope to be able to contribute as time rolls on. Cheers, Terry

Hello everyone, I'm new to the off road scene, however, I've been riding street bikes since I was 16.

I got myself an 07 TE610, off the showroom floor, and have since fallen totally and completely in love; so much so that my BMW is in serious jeopardy of getting traded in for a second Husqy.

Some of you know me, I'm Cozza. I'm sort of a closet Husky fan since I started riding. Never been able to afford one, though - give me 4 years!

Just poking around for now :)

Hey Cozza, welcome aboard.

First post.

Only been riding dirt for about 3 years - 25 or so years of riding street. Cracked 2 ribs second time out on the TE  after graduating from a DRZ. Stuck with it and now I simply love my TE.

Got a couple Triumph street bikes and an XRL for longer dirt trips.

Day I got it:

The TE in all it's glory (at the NH Classic if anyone knows of it):

Love the bike and love the Husky character and the fact mine is normally the only blue and yellow bike out on the trail in a sea of orange.

Picked up a TE-510 a week ago to keep my BMWR1100 RT and XR-400 Company. So far so good. Ride dual sport in Northern MI

Greetings

Hello folks,

been lurking about for awhile gleaning info here and there on the TE610. I purchased a used 2006 in June and have changing it a bit to suit my tastes. So far I love the bike and it fits the bill perfectly for my needs. I began last week changing the factory jetting to get a bit more performance and I'm sure I'll have a few questions on the Keihin TE carb. Used to race a bit in my teens and early 20's on Suzuki PE's, always got tired of watching the backs of the Husky WR riders as they pulled away in the straights. Here's a couple of before and after pics:
