• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Welcome to the forum! Introduce yourself here!

Hi,

I've got a 200 TE 250 recently converted to 310 (Athena Kit) Fan is running much more than before and losing fluid from expansion tank. Is it possible head gasket is the wrong way round? Any other ideas.****************************************!!

Welcome everyone. :)

In case it is not obvious, this is simply a hello thread. Tech answers are almost never answered in this thread, mostly because the people that know about the tech issues may not read this thread. You should probably start up a separate thread if you have tech questions in the proper forum.

Hi,

New to Cafe Husky. Not sure how it all works. I have a overheating problem with my 07 TE 250 with Athena 300 kit.

For instance, because you have a 4 stroke, you should start up a question in the 4 stroke forum. :)

Hi, not really sure how this works but i need info on a bike of mine. Its a 1999 WR 125. I NEED AN OWNERS MANUAL FOR IT! If anyone has any information i desperately need it. Thanks.

great site....

Hello. I have been on TT since May of 2001. Originally from the SF Bay Area and moved here to Prescott in May 2009. My first Husqvarna was a 2006 TC250 which I bought from John Moore in Santa Cruz. Right now I am saving my hard earned cash for a 2011 TE310. We have a small dealer here in Prescott that does sell Husqvarna's and Huseburg's but does not have a large selection. Right now they do have a 2009 TE310 for sale. I suppose GO AZ is the place to go in the Phoenix area. Anyone know if they are very knowledgeable with the Husky's?

Anyhow I hope to learn a little more from all the hard core enthusiast's on here....

New guy

Hi all, I'm new to this forum. Don't have a husky (yet) but have a ktm 450. I'm looking hard at the 2011 TE 310. I'd like to downsize and from what I've read the 310 looks like the answer.

I actually owned a husky back in the day. I was a kid and it was a 1970 250 like Malcom had only I think his was a 400.

I'm anxious to learn more about the new husky's quality and reliability. I've got a good dealer nearby (Taskys) and with BMW ownership I'm a lot more confident in the brand.

Hello,

I had a 06 TE 510 a few years ago that I had to sell do to a layoff. Now I'm on a 05 TC 250 that I'm riding almost all singletrack on. Just this weekend I picked up a 06 TE 250 with a bad engine. So the TC and TE will be joining forces over the winter to make a steetable singletrack bike.

G'day from the Sunny down under...

I live in Necastle on the East coast of Australia (about 2 hours north of Sydney). I'm the happy owner of a 2010 TE310 and am loving every minute I get on the girl.

Cheers and have a good one!

Howdy from the big apple

Just got my new-to-me 2006 TE450.
I bought her w JD, super-moto wheels, super-moto wiring, and boxes of extras (the original tank as extra as the larger one is installed).
I have done two off-road trips. The first one was the "Berkshires Run" in MA, which was rocky and too much for my first ever ride on the bike. I seriously questioned why I even bought the bike. Then last weekend I did the "Meteor" ride in NJ. What a blast. I loved every minute of it. Including the several landings on the sand I had...
I am looking to change the plastics on the bike, can you recommend a source I can begin looking at some examples?

Thanks

Hi guys, im Owen from the UK. I bought a '98 Husqvarna cr125 a few months ago and so far love it (although I need a few gearbox parts as ive stripped a couple of teeth).

Since buying it ive fitted a Wossner piston kit after a month of riding 3-4 times a week. Soon after I went to my local track and the conrod let go so has now had a new prox rod and all new seals and bearings. Ive got later model plastics on order and the fuel tank from an 04 model arrived today so should look good.
