• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hello to all

Hi guys, thanks for letting me into the Cafe.

I just got my 610 this week. It arrived in a crate on a pallet, was wheeled into my garage and I had great time unpacking it and assembling.

The weather has gone into the toilet (I expected that) and I'm now looking at how I want to upgrade my newest friend.

My current modifications are:
- Husqvarna Power-Up kit (with Leo Vince exhaust)
- Up-tite skid plate

I have a set of Cycra pro-bend handguards at a local Ducati dealer awaiting my pickup later today.

This site is a great resource. I've already learned about Motosportz and the wonderful products that they sell and support. They'll be getting business from me.

Now, if you guys could just arrange one nice day...

Thanks,

Y

New Here

Hi guys, my name is Doug and I bought a 08' TE250 last winter. It's a great bike and the only issues I've had are rider related...that is the rider on it stinks!
I met a couple of you at the Hammer DS last Sunday in NJ but I'm bad with introductions and I don't remember your names. Anyway, this is a terrific site and I'm looking forward to tapping into some of the Husky knowledge available here. Hope to see some of you on the trails.

Steve here! Wish I was able to spend money on the dual sport rides(and had time). Went to a Atlantic Grand Prix on Oct. 19, and was very rusty. I would love to set up some outlaw dual sports with some guys in North Jersey area! P.S. Hope Obama can get the Economy moving again!

Newbie here, owner of an '81 430 XC and an '87 430 WR. Also have a '96 Husaberg 550e. I'm a senior citizen who still hasn't grown up. Don't ride as much now as I used to but still enjoy hitting the trails now and then. Road the Alpine Trail in Colorado on the '87 WR a couple of months ago (August) and had a ball. If you have'nt done it put it on your list for next summer.

Did you ride with a guy named Craig on a non-Husky, by any chance?

I certainly do! We've ridden together in Idaho, and he flew out to CA last winter to ride with me.

He's a great guy:thumbsup:

Hola,

No he preguntado nada todavía. Lo que hago es intentar ayudar como bien puedo. Lo bueno de este foro es que es muy técnico y aprendes un montón.

;)

P:S: To Coffee.
Hope it's not a problem to have Spanish answers on the forum.
If so, just let me know.

No problem at all, users are world wide and Husqvarna is made in Italy. I'm not sure if he is going to get much out of the forum if only a few people can understand him though.

I could create a 'international' section easy enough but usually people like to comment on pictures, bikes, etc in the other sections so that really would not help.

The site is titled "Cafe Husky.com, Worldwide Husqvarna Community"

Hey there, Just got a slightly used 08 te450 in august. I've been on a 250 rmx 2stroke for the last 12 years so I was apprehensive about getting the big 4 stroke but i really like it. It handles way better in everything except the super tight stuff but I can deal, the power is mind blowing and can you say electric start, love that. Mostly ride just east of the cascades by cle elem, the occasional trip to eddieville and the columbia gorge. I also kitesurf/windsurf in the gorge so it is nice to have the bike for when the wind dosen't blow. I used to build custom windsurf and kitesurf boards in the gorge but now own and operate a BBQ restaurant in seattle

Hey guys,
I currently don't have a Husky, BUT it is my next bike. Just found the site and thought I would jump on the band wagon. Looking for that diamond in the rough. (81/82 XC) When found I'll post it up.
Ride safe and have fun.

Hi Everyone.

Joe here. I have an '08 610. I 'tarded it last week and have the wheels set-up for a quick swap. I've swapped out the rear light monstrosity for a smaller LED unit, put on a trailtech head light, a skid plate and some hand guards. Fun bike. My battery just kicked the bucket! Is that part of the initiation process?
Next up is a new seat. I didn't notice it at all until I started riding it more on the road -- after about an hour I have "issues."

Coffee, You're the man. Thank you so much for starting this site!
Nov 14, 2008, just bought a TE450. It took a bit of faith to come of the Honda brand (CRF250X), but knowing this site is available greatly contributed to taking the "plunge."
