• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

1 issue though that the engine mounting bolts kept coming loose and neede re tightening after 10kms in the bush.. in the end the nut fell off ( i think it was the incorrect bolt / run ???
Obviosuly the bike needs to be run in and seems to running quote rough.. Is this normal ???
about to do an oil change and go over the bike to make sure all is tight and right

Hey guys I'm new on here and pretty much new to dirt bikes other than cruising around open paddocks when I was a kid. I have always had road bikes though and currently have a '06 hayabusa. A month ago I decided to go and buy a te449 as where I live there are tracks everywhere and quite a few of my mates had dirt bikes. All I can say is I wish I'd got into it earlier! I had more fun in the first week than I've had in years on the busa. My skills are pretty ordinary at the moment but improving fairly quickly. I look forward to learning a bit about the bikes and tips on how to ride them properly. So take it easy on me if I ask stupid questions haha. Cheers

Hello everyone! I'm Paul and I own AS Racing. I used to be Agent Smith on TT before I was banned for life...LOL.

I hope to learn the idiosyncrasies of the Huskys, and have some fun along the way. I've got a ton of experience with the other brands, but my Husky experience is limited to rebuilding heads. This is my first foray into the internal workings of the Husky and I'm looking forward to it.

Hi, My name is David and I live in Orange County. I just bought a 2012 TE310. This is my first husky and first dirtbike! These things are tall! Doesn't help that I'm 5'7"...I have an '07 GSXR750 racebike (CVMA #107), and an '04 BMW R1100S. Glad to find cafehusky! Not sure what to do with all the parts in the box I got with my new 310?? I searched the forums but didn't quite find it...I replaced the air filter plastic retainer, but not sure what to do with the rest of it. I'm leaving the stock gearing though I did get the 50 and a chain which maybe I'll change once I get used to it/break it in. I've ridden up Saddleback a couple of times and am loving the bike so far! I've got a lot to learn.

Hello All,

New to forum and Husqvarna, coming from the orange side. I just picked up a demo 2010 TE 310 from an east coast dealer with less then 100 miles. Sorting the bike out in prep for the Nutcracker dualsport/adventure ride next wknd in Logan Ohio and buying things. Any other husky riders in the Cleve, Oh (216) love to have the support.

Hello Husky owners,
I finally jumped and bought a 2012 TE511. My name is Les and I live in Canberra, Australia's capital. My other love is a 2011 Ducati Diavel or "The Beast". Always in love with all aspects of two wheels, from adventure riding to track days at the local circuit. I already found a wealth of information on this forum so thank you for letting me in.

Hi everyone,

I've had my '10 TE510 for about 18 months now and have been lurking around here a little longer than that... thought it was only right that I sign up!

Cheers from an Aussie in Germany!

Greetings. I've been lurking here for a few years. Just bought a new 12 CR144 and would like to participate. Better late than never, they say! The 8th Husky I've owned. Also have a 04 TC450, 04 TC250, and a 02 CR50J in the stable. Getting older and slower, race 40A mx, looking forward to flying the Husky flag again, and fogging the 450's with premix fumes!
