• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hello All ya'll.
I been lurking in the shadows for the past year reading and learning as much as possible about the current Huskies. Been learning a lot from your posts, and really like the Husky-specific site.

Sorry I totally skipped past this thread when I joined the forum. Picked up a 2012 TE310. Here is a link to my intro thread> http://www.cafehusky.com/threads/new-2012-te310r-hopefully.33061/ Working on some armor and stripping the rear fender down to something more practical. Ordered the rubber plate bracket from Bill's last night. Prolly gonna run HDB handguards with the top and bottom clamps. Hyde racing skid plate on order along with 7602 oil pump/line guard and the case saver from them as well. Only have 2 hours on the motor so far and plan to change the oil after riding tomorrow. Looks like a fun oil change according to the manual but I ain't sceerd;) See you around:cheers:

Hello,
I live in So. Cal and wanted a street legal dirt bike so Husky was kind enough to make the TE511. I got a new one two weeks ago and really look forward to unleashing it's potential. I have a 09 CRF 450R that I've gone through with suspension from Factory Connection and a Yoshimura exhaust with bars, shift lever and some bling items. Felt like a new bike with better ergonomics. I'll be doing some of the same things to the Husky being that I'm 6'4" and weigh over 200 lbs. (I'm working on it!!). I'm glad I found like minded people to help guide me through the right mods. The first guy I'm going to
Thanks, Scott

Is it ok that I didn't read every post in this thread?

Bought my first Husky. A Terra 650. Been riding for over 40 years and wanted to find a more dirt-worthy replacement for the F650GS.

Not really into long, romantic walks on the beach.

Hey everybody, new owner of a 2013 te511. I am converting it to supermoto trim and am seeking technical questions. Signed up so i can search haha.

Hey guys, cool forum you have here! I don't have any pics of my smr 511 yet as I'm still waiting for delivery after three weeks! Hope its worth it

Long time road rider. Spent 5 years trying to make a KLR work over its pay grade.
New TE 511 now so I can't blame the arrow any more.
Now on to the newbie questions:D

Hi all. I am new to Cafe Husky. I currently ride an 08 KTM EXC-F 280 with 220 hours on the clock and i am looking at options to replace it with. High on the list is the TXC310R, so i have joined to learn a bit more about these bikes as i have never ridden a Husky nor know anyone who does

I have an old Husky 250. Signed up to keep up with all the Husky news lately. Seems getting straight info on TT is impossible and I'm a mod there.
Welcome!

It seems many of the moderators on TT have joined this site, though only a couple frequently log in. Wish I could state that everything on this site is accurate, but like all peer-to-peer sites that is not always the case, most do try though.

Just a heads up, we do occasionally talk about other bikes. :)
