• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Welcome to the forum! Introduce yourself here!

New Husky owner.

Got a great deal on a 2008 TE 610 with 2340 miles on it.

I actually signed up for CafeHusky back in December, but it took over a month to get
approved to post.

Oh well cheers all!

Hey there! I've been a reader for a while, and figured I'd introduce myself. I picked up a used Strada last year, and am having a blast on the twisties of Southwest Virginia. The bike is great, and has been a fun introduction to the brand. Thanks for having me here! The knowledge base here is incredible.

Hi,

Just joined. Got a bit frustrated having to wait a weekend to be approved but patience always pays off. I'm planning on buying a TE630 or a SWM RS650R since I can't find any TE630s about.

Oddly enough I was considering a TE650 a couple of years ago, but bought the G650 xCountry instead. Hopefully the 630 or the SWM will take me on the same kind of adventures. Stuff like this:

Hi all,

My son got a 2012 TXC310 about a month ago. First ride, the sprag locked up, sheared the flywheel key, and when trying to kick start, apparently backfired (cause the timing was off) and shoved the starter partway out of the case, braking the ears that hold the starter in place......not a good start....

But with the help of all the posters here, I was able to figure out all of that, and have replaced the starter with the blanking plate from a TC 250 (I believe) and convert ti to kick only. Still haven't got it all back together, but I think it should be all good now.

Anyway, great site and tons of info!

Welcome to the forum. Nice project you have there. Parts are scarce but they can be found especially with the help on folks on this site. That model is not my specialty but there are many members on here with a ton of experience with that model bike. I'm sure some of them will chime in to help you.

Hi everyone. I have always wanted a Husky and got me a 07 TE250 with 101 miles a couple of weeks ago. Love this thing. Looks like some one already did the throttle stop mod. I put a 1.5" Kouba Link on it so I could get a toe on the ground and removed the 3/4" handle bar riser. World of difference.

Newbie here to Cafe Husky! Had to wait a little while after signing up but glad to join. I am on several other forms as I have a bad dease of collecting vintage dirt and street bikes along with modern bikes.

I have five Husky's in my fleet at this time with the last being a 07' TE 250 inherited from my brother. Which I want to learn more about.

The other Husky's I either built or purchased as garage queens and were raced in AHRMA. So I have a pretty good knowledge of these and can share my experience with the forum.

Here is my current fleet of Husky's
80 250 OR survivor
81 430 XC restored
81 430 CR survivor
83/84 500 CR Hybrid purpose built Maico 490 slayer. LOL

It is good to be back on an Italian Husqvarna after a long stretch without one (due to circumstances beyond my control). In January 2016 I found a barely ridden TC250R and I absolutely love it. The #7 Kawasaki in the photo was necessary to get me back in the dirt, but the KX is gone now and I am so happy to be on an Italian Husqvarna again. In the 1990s I had a 1988 Cagiva 250WMX, a 1992 360 WXE, and a 1996 TE610 (the best bike I ever had), then disaster and life kept me off dirt until 2013.

Hi all. New to the forum. I'm taking on a 2002 CR 125 project albeit against the advice of some folks from other sites. Living here where I do in Indiana about the best place to ride is the woods. There are some challenging motocross tracks, but I plan to set this one up for woods riding. Already just doing a little bit of digging here and there I am finding there is a wealth of knowledge here.
My current dilemna is to decide whether to repair to stock or go with a big bore setup. My budget is pretty small so I'll definitely be posting more as things move along.

Hey all - took my first ride on my new TE yesterday after about 2.5 months of staring at it in the garage (and making whimpering noises). It was glorious. Over the winter I fitted it with 7602 rad guards, Cycra Pro Bends with BRP hand guard mounts, and a Slavens linkage skid. Happy to say I didn't need any of it today except the skid. Looking forward to the rest of the riding season!
