• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Not that it matters, since the 610 can pretty much do it all, but did we know it could do what??

 Now imagine what you could do on a sub-300lb dirt bike :D

And yes, you're right, the 610 is a beast. I absolutely love mine!

Oh, I know! I bought the 610 cuz I thought it could go where I dare not on the Dakar. It's done that and more. It's so much better that I thought it could be, it really has gotten my attention and now I want a even smaller bike. :banghead:

NO WAY, IN HELL, EVER,

EVER

EVER

Will the wife go for that though. :excuseme: I'm trying really hard to convince her that she needs to get a 250 and 'join me' for some rides

I don't think she wants to do that either.

New to forum

Hey there, I am interested in purchasing a 610 in the near future. I have been lurking on here for a while and thought that I should pipe up and say that it is great to be able to get to know a few things about a bike before you even own one. I have an 09 KLX 250 at the moment and as soon as it is sold I will be on the hunt for a Husky.

A quick hello if you will

My name is Trent and after about a year of reading, studying and comparing I bought an 08 510SMR.

My only regret is that I didnt buy it sooner. I love this bike. It has about ~2500 miles on it with a 1000+ being track miles. It has been on big tracks, supermoto tracks, kart tracks and dirt trails on the side of the road.

It has been pretty much trouble free, knock on wood. The closest dealer is about 400 miles away too. Could not be happier.

1972 Husky WR250 Decals and Paint?

Hi. This is my first post to Cafe Husky. I have recently purchased a fairly nice WR250 that I am racing in AHRMA vintage events here in the Pacific Northwest. The tank has a goofy custom paint scheme and I want to return it to the authentic paint/decal scheme. Does anyone know where I can get the proper materials?
Thanks! Don Armstrong, Fall City WA.

Hi, thought I should say hi and stop lurking. Looking at getting into adventure riding, and the TE610 is at the top of my list! Great forum for info on anything husky.
