  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

What are the fellow Aussies riding back home?

Most blokes in Vic seem to be on 450's, and theres always a few on 510/520's. But I reckon more and more are looking at 250/310/390/400's. There seems to be a shift towards the smaller bikes, especially in tighter riding. And the 2 stokers are making a comeback too I reckon, especially now e start is on ther way.

any one have picture of where to ride in Australia Gatton. my wife is there for studys and would like to go there to do some riding may be in dec.

Ha! I'm lucky enough to have both a 2st AND a 4T :excuseme: It's a hard decision to make when going for a ride..........
My 510 would have to be one of the best bikes I've owned, closely followed by my ATK. Build quality is superior to other popular makes and that was a huge factor in the purchase. New price was 13,600 on road  but I've had almost 8000 klm of hassle free riding (apart from the battery collapsing after 3 years) Really, of what's available here in oz the 510 was the only purpose built enduro bike. :ride:
Most of my riding is single trail through the bush...........

i loved my te510 but for a 65kg rider, it was a pain in the tight stuff... i am much quicker on my yammy wr290f... it rips though the bush ! but dog ugly....

Just bought a new 2010 310 a week ago have only managed to put 70k's on single trail due to shitty weather . Plenty of good riding in lithgow area.

WR 144.

Nearly all tight single track, though I did go to the MX track last weekend which was good fun. I must say for an enduro bike the suspension was very good on the MX track. Only bottomed the fork in two places each lap and the rear never bottomed ridiculously hard.
