• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

What boots are you wearing

I remember seeing guys riding with high points boots with their jeans tucked in when I was in high school and thought they looked really bad ass.:notworthy:

my 1st boots were Thorsten Hallman, currently Answer boots, but due to replace, I did not maintain the leather and they are cracking

the hi points come and go..the "pro gp" ones i have are certainy built to last. the sno seal works great..the key is putting the boots in the oven at about 175f for a few minutes to really soak in the wax..

I can't get used to modern MX boots. My all time favs were TonyD's and HiPoints. A few years ago I was desperate for some boots and tried many, the most comfortable and affordable were Fly Barricade! They're about half leather with plenty of plastic protection and lug soles and they've lasted all this time and still work fine.
Only issue is the full lug soles hang up on Husky foot pegs, so about a year ago I bought Fox Comp5 with off road sole. They're about half leather too, imported from China and have a good sole and decent protection. Sizing was off, so had to exchange them, but otherwise they're comfortable and decent for the price.
Next will be Forma Terrain Enduro boots

sidi crossfires SRS next time forma's of some sort i think if my 22's will go in them:excuseme: some times being extra thick sucks
