• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

What foot-pegs for 610TE

Even with the rubber inserts out it doesn't give you a wider platform. I actually slapped on some IMS Pro Series pegs made for a KX100. Pivot Pegs and Fastways are real popular for the 610.

Good luck on your quest for a wider footpeg!

I don't want Pivot. Do the IMS fit right?

See for yourself...

Keep in mind that the right mount requires a little modification (needs to be rounded off), and you should probably have some material added to the peg so it doesn't mash your brake pedal lever during a get off. You can also see in the first shot that I used different springs... you could probably use the stock ones, but I was tired of wrestling with them.

I love the improved feel of these footpegs!

Fastway F3

I just put a set of these on mine and really like them. You have to grind the tab off the right mount so they retract, but nothing needed to keep them from hitting the brake.

I rode a set of the PivotPegz recently and I didn't think I'd like moving pegs, but the travel is so limited they are hardly noticeable and not bad to my surprise.

I want to also put the IMS pegs on, just want to make sure the KX100 pegs are the ones to start with? Thanks for your help guys.

I just installed Roc Stompa pegs this season... huge improvement in grip and stability over the stockers.

I tried the Fastway pegs, but found them annoying because they are so wide (front to back). But, others love them.

When you order your pegs, do you order them for a TE 610 or something else?
Anyone have the right part numbers to order for each type of peg?

Depends on what peg you are getting. I got the Pivot Pegz. They're a sponsor here, did a group buy deal, and know which ones fit the 610.

All plusses in my book, plus they work great. (though I did have to grind off a little of the stop on my bike.)

I just love mine----can stand all day ---

i've got the fastways on my wr and i can't stand them. they offer a nice substantial platform for standing. but, when hovering just off the seat in a corner and getting really far forward on the seat i find that the lack of aggressive teeth makes for a slick surface. specifically when riding in wet/sloppy conditions when your boots are only contacting the front rail of the pegs they sketch all over it. i need a large platform with aggressive teeth i guess.

There are about 20 threaded holes on the top of the peg. You're supposed to screw the cleats in there. They provide a very aggressive grip.

yes, i know to screw the cleats into the holes. i even have the pointed ones. for me and my uses the teeth simply aren't aggressive enough. we'll have to just disagree over the aggressive grip bit.

i forgot to mention that due to the vertical constuction aspect that clipping one good rock dead on bends the whole frame backwards. i've had to remove mine several times and put them in a vice with heat applied to bend them back into shape. the vertical construction does allow material and water to flow out of them and keeps them from getting choked up but imho it compromises rigidity. i, simply put, like the concept but don't like the finished product. for the money, to me, they suck. but many do like them.

i'm going back to the ims pro series.

When your Replacing you foot pegs dont forget to GRIND YOUR FRAME FLAT where the footpegs bolt on. The surface will not be flush fitting and you will break bolts unless you grind it back flat and perfect. Paint it after grinding flat.

Get some footpeg relocators! They make a big difference to the feel and handeling of your 610.

Then one of the most fantastic mods you can do is PIVOT PEGZ:
