• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

What size handlebars are on the 2009 SM 610?

dualie

Husqvarna
AA Class
From what I've read online, they are 1 & 1/2 inch Tommaselli, tapered, handlebars. Appears that they taper on the ends to 1 inch or 7/8th inch? Anybody know for sure? I ask b/c I'm trying to decide between bar end mount [HDB] or single mount [BarkBuster].

I like BarkBuster Storms, so I contacted Twisted Throttle online and they recommended the Storm S1, which are single mounts.

I'm not too keen on hollowing out the ends of my OURY rubber bar grips and hacksawing 3 mm's or less off the plastic hand throttle end. However, I'm thinking it might be worth it when considering the integrated handguard and mirror design of the HDB system. It appears smart, simple and clean.

Let me know what you guys think. BarkBuster single mounts or HDB bar end mounts?

Dualie go for the HDB handguards, its top of the line (I really love mine) and just like you said; "it's smart, simple and clean"...and strong...very strong
The installation is a piece of cake and nothing to get excited about

BTW while we have you here, any chance you can change the size of your font to be a bit bigger? it's very hard for my old eyes to see letters so small :o

Thanks for the info fellaz. Oh, and yes, I try to remember to type in size font 4 or greater, cos' my Rx is -5 in each eye :oldman:
