  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

250-500cc What year rear wheels will work

No to be too flippant, but one like the one that came with it should do fine. What seems to be the problem?

Any 02 -10 2-stroke wheels will fit.

The earlier 00-02 rears fit with a bearing and spacer change.

I may have a spare if you need it.

No problem... my Cr has a 19" rear. I won a set of motoz tires in 18/21 flavor. The enduro tire doesn't come in a 19". Tires look awesome and I'd like to use them if I can. Was hoping to find a used 18" wheel to fit.

In that case, as stated, any recent (up to 2010 for sure) 18" 2T rear wheel will do. The 4T wheels place the disk further out an will not work. You could also lace a new rim up to your existing hub. You would need the rim and a new set of spokes.

If you were to get an 18" 4T wheel cheaply, the rim and spokes would lace up to your hub just fine. Then you could lace up the 19" rim to the 4T hub and put it up for sale. With any luck it would be a wash except for a little quality time spent with your Husky.

I agree Scott. Too much work. There does seem to be alot more tire options for an 18" though.
