• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Myself in my mid fifties is more interested in a new XR650L Honda to be legal and more dirt worthy than the current crop of adventure bikes. To just ride on the road, nothing beats my custom by me, for me 2004 Road Star Midnight.

i would be really scared to ride a bike i had no way to start other than pop starting by choice. i did it once by emergency but would not want to leave knowing i couldnt start the bike unless i found a hill. chances are if its hard to kick start its going to be real tough to pop on flat ground or slight hill as well.
compression release could be answer i guess

It's the nostalgia of riding these awesome Swedish bikes. Yup been looking at a Honda xl650L and a husqvarna 4t and 2t too with the magic red button. But it's the nostalgia of having the Swedish husqvarnas in the stable.

I guy few by the house with a 4t husqvarna and it sounded awesome. We have a husqvarna dealer five minutes from the house.

The dam prostate cancer took a lot out of me. It may take sometime to get more energy back. I'm not giving up yet, no dirt nap in sight. I'm hoping for a little comeback strength wise enough to ride, even if I putt around ill be ok.

See your doctor and get your prostate checked. Women have breast cancer, us men have prostate cancer. Early detection is the key. The survival rate is very high. Mine was pretty high on the Gleason scale. I wasn't worried either way. Now everyday is a gift. I need to make use of the time I'm here. Like buy the grandson toys. No regrets but it's time to roost.

Scary stuff there Bill, I wish you good luck with your health. It takes a lot of discipline to keep your self truly fit and healthy . Tho cancer does not discriminate who it targets and seems it takes the ones you never think it would.

I'm coming back little by little the hormone injection confuses the cancer. And sends it dormant. My level of cancer can't be measured. Other prostate cancer survivors tell me I should feel as good as new soon. The bike is my exercise. This is my second go around with my life and husqvarna bikes.

https://www.facebook.com/REALfarmacyCOM guys everybody really should check this out cancer dose suck but curing it or never getting it in the first place is EZ dont need doctors or drugs lets face it there no money in it for them if your not sick it [more cash of bike stuff] seems to me that most of us on here are at least 35 or much much more we need to be up the speed on this kinka stuff so we can ride the over 80 class:applause::applause::applause:

I was on testosterone meds before my prostate cancer. It probably fed the cancer. That's the first thing the cancer doctor stopped. My cancer doctor said it could comeback in three years, ten years or twelve years or never comeback. I figure to get my bucket list in order, stock up on castor 2t oil, tires, tubes, spark plugs etc.

Keurig? That's the only thing I enjoy is my 5 to 6 cups of coffee per day. I can't make coffee. I need a brewer with a computer. I need to research into coffee makers now.

I was scared last year when my doctor told me my prostrate was enlarged. I felt somewhat relieved after a cancer screening showed none.

My PSA was 4.1 when they found out I had it. By the time the radiation started it was up to 8.0, very aggressive. I started thinking our bodies are vessels to get us to the next life. The radiation and the hormone injections turned things around. I never worried about it. Cancer can ravage my body but it can't touch my soul.

Having not had the best health myself, I wish you good luck and hope you will be riding Huskys for many years to come.

I'm not scared at all I had two older brothers pass on to the next life already. They were brawlers, they would be back for sure lol trust me there waiting for me. My older brother who is still alive had a dream were my older brother came to him and said he serves God now and he's at the Gates. So my brother Jimmy is at the Gates. Drop my name if you meet him before I do.

I have never been afraid of simply dying. I was scared because of the potential slow , painful, approach that cancer brings to some people. The thought of being on kemo would have me preferring to die in a high speed accident that I could never survive.

On bikes I never thought about death. But in the back of my mind was the types of accidents that Magoo, DeStefano, and several other had that if it became bad enough I would rather just be dead and overwith.
