  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

250-500cc which rekluse for wr300?

Stay away from the Revloc if they even make it anymore. I had it on my WR 300 and it fell apart. Never really liked it anyway. Happy to go back to stock clutch.
Can you elaborate? I currently have stock clutch with magura hydr clutch. My friend told me hell, just change gearing so that your not shifting as much in tight trails, that combined with your magura and you wont need an auto clutch.

I just dont want to loose bump starting. That and price have held me back big time on the autoclutch

Perhaps it was just my lack of having enough time with the auto clutch. I just prefer to have complete control of my power and I feel that the auto takes some of that away. I had it out to the sand dunes one time and did not like it at all. It seems more appropriate for the single track trails in the mountains. I still just like the old fashioned clutch. Seems everyone raves about the auto clutches. Maybe mine was just not a good one so hard to judge.

Souds like yours was not setup right.

rebooting an ldo thread - but ; i just got a 2012 WR250/300 2T - according to Rekluse they dont make one for the 2012 italian made WR250's? Can any owners of the same bike please confirm if they fitted a Rekluse, and which bike/version did they purchase?

I have one. Exp 3.0. It says 140-210 on the plates. REKLUSE RMS-6052 EXP CLUTCH 3.0 is how it was listed. I had to file the teeth down about .25mm each and its working perfect now.

I was considering one for my 250 earlier this year. When I was ready to pull the trigger they were discontinued. I called Rekluse about it and they said they never really liked the design and it didn't stand up to abuse as much as they would have liked. I was told that they might bring back an improved version, but I kinda doubt it.

Attached is the parts sheet from my WR250/300 rekluse exp 3.0 clutch.

I have it running in a WR360 (with wr250 clutch basket) with the heavy 450 wedges. Works great.

Don't the 250/300/360 huskys use Honda clutch plates?

You may be able to get the rekluse parts individually for your 250 husky.

Which model/version Rekluse are you referring to. I have the Z-Start Pro and it is totally bullet proof. I agree with others that the other models that rely on clutch cable tension does not sound like a good idea.

The EXP 3.0 was the only model still available at that time. You are lucky to have one of the Z-start. I was thinking I still wanted to be able to slip the clutch so the EXP sounded good. I may "race" but I'm not nearly as hard on stuff as actual fast riders.

Hello Noobee. I sourced an exp 140-210 rms 6052secondhand,no instructions (none online). Is it steel(7) friction (6) then exp last or does it go in after the first steel. Also the Rekluse Orange springs are larger than stock diameter and a strange fit. Did you file the teeth off the exp disc to get it to work properly as i cant get mine to work. Any insights wouldbe appreciaterd. Thanks.

Sorry, can't help you on that, I never did buy one.
