  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Which Tires Came On Your 2011 Te310?

fasteer

Husqvarna
AA Class
the website shows:
Michelin Enduro Competition 3 / Pirelli MT83 Scorpion

However, mine came with Metzler Karoo II.
Never rode the bike with the Karoo rear, immediately swapped it for a MT43 Trials.
The Karoo front does not impress; no side lugs so will not crawl out of ruts.
Looking forward to getting rid of it & may not even wait til it wears out.

didn't even look, got them swapped for metzeler six day extreme before i picked it up!!!

Yeah, my 310 came with a 140 rear, too, even though factory spec is a 120. I wasn't thrilled about that or the non-spec Karoo II choice.

When I bought my '03 TE610e, it had a 6 Day Extreme on the front that is really noisy on pavement, but is great in the dirt. It really grabs. Tiny, pointy knobs fairly widely spaced. How's the 6 Day Extreme rear? I'm running Bridgestone M403/404s right now on the 310... they're alright.

so North America all got Karoo II, but the rest of the world got something else...
Wonder why?
Anyway, will order up something for the front ASAP.
Debating between my old favourite MT21 or Pirelli Scorpion Pro FIM...

Michi Comp 3's OK on the hard pack apsoloute crap in the loam and mud. Bridgies 203 and 204 love em.

I bet it was to be compliant with the DOT req's since these are DOT legal bikes. My dealer swapped mine for S16's which I like alot.

Enduro comp 3 is no good in 120. In 140 is much better. On the other hand, I left the front one on, since it nas quite good grip on all conditions.
