• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Who here wants to refresh my ITC shocks?

I know several of you guys have been into these many times and have all the tools to do so. Anyone want to refresh mine? Also where do I find the grommets for the mounting holes? Thanks

I just made a set of grommets (spacers) for the firecracker kid on here. I also included zinc plating them. I will second Kartwheel, send them to Drew at WER.

Wow thanks for the offer. Going to see what Drew says first. if he has it all I'll just let him make them 100%. Email sent to them.

Open bathers...
You know you can put a used 449 headset/spindle and 48 kybs on that bike. Malcolm does it when he races the NORRA 1000. Just sayn..

Hmmm... Not sure, I would have to see the spindle.

Would you know if there's any difference between a 2011 TE 250 triple clamp, which i have lying around from my Meo replica and a 449 triple clamp? i don't think there is but I'm no genius :o
Maybe i should just try it on the 420 and find out for myself
i never even thought of it until i saw your post about Malcoms bike

You can always have a spindle made to fit. Use 2024, not 7075, it will still have 60Kpsi strength and be able to flex.

I know a 99 WR250 45mm inverted zoke setup bolts right up to a 86 WR400 with zero issues as I did mine. Only thing not right is the turning stops.

Per the Ohlin factory manual for ITCs from Phillip (on CD), pressure is approx 15 bar...that's 220 lbs. Seems awful high. Mine at 185.
