• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Whole TR Terra parted out on German ebay

Make sure the seller has specified your country. i.e. he does NOT send articles to AUS. There's a red warning to the right of "Versand" (as Ebay picks up your country IP origin).

The bike in question had front damage after only 728km/ ~500mi.
Anyone needs anything translated, shoot me a pm with a copy of the sentence/ words or the Ebay link to the part.

Thanks for pointing that out, didnt think about that...

However, pls note that the seller actually sends parts to AUS, EXCEPT those that are regarded as necessary for separate bike registration, i.e. he sends the engine and frame to Europe only. The rest, including ECU or dashboard, might be sent to AUS. To make sure, its best to check it with the seller.

While the "fine print" states that he sends out to AUS, the big, red pre-cursor states that he doesn't send out to AUS.
Goes for each and every part of this seller.
Yo, certainly check before hitting the button.

I forwarded the seller information to Stephen at the GS911. I had been in contact with them earlier, and I stepped back as others were working on it.

I have emailed the seller, and he has the ecu, keys and speedo, reasonably priced. I passed all this on to Stephen. I have inquired about disabling the immobilizer, and he said he didn't normally get into that, but would take a look.

Stephan said they would purchase one, as they like to keep it on the shelf for any further R&D. Hope they bite on this one.

I also just now fired off an email to David at Rexxer.

Thanks for the find Mario

Dave

Thats terrific news, Dave. I'm really interested in gs911 being able to service TR's. If they manage to disable immobiliser, even more so !

I got an email back from Stephan today. He said he emailed the seller asking if they ship to ZA (S Africa). Looks like they are interested in moving forward if they can get the parts.

If the seller is only eager to send parts to Europe, let him send the parts to me. I would send them to SA.
