  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc Who's still riding a 125?

That's what I use too. In fact, it came in the carb I have which came from a 99 KX125. Kawi part for the needle is #N7NW.

OP,

I was running a 125 and was happy with it (even at 200lbs), but I scored a 144 jug and then a 165 jug, so the 125 jug just got sold.
The 144 isn't a big change from the 125, so I still have the rabid small bore and the 165 for anything gnarly or at elevation. Although, I haven't ridden it as a 165 yet, so not really sure what its gonna feel like.

Tried that N7NW Kawi 125 needle and it wasnt working as well for me on the 144 as the R1469 needle.
Richer/thinner needle tip seemed to lose mid/top. Mid wasnt better. I will try changing to a leaner 170 main from 175 maybe a leaner 40 pilot or go back to other needle.

My 08 cr125 def is a bit more peppy than my 04 cr125 was.

Threw a carb divider in the 08 and jetted properly there's not many times I wish for more power. Even after riding husky 125's for almost 3 yrs straight, they still impress/scare every few rides.

Was that a RB designs mod or other power now type?
