  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Wiring all lights to a switch

Husqvarna
AA Class
Anyone ever wired all of the lights to a switch to be able to shut them off when you are riding. This would help out alot riding on longisland with all the pesky porkers in the woods.

Thanks a million

I did on my TC510, but like every other thread on what bike and what year??????????????????

I used a K&S narrow multi switch for the left side switch instead of my stock 09TE450 switch- it has off High low for the headlight and the rest. I don't care if my LED tail runs non stop- infact I'd kinda like the guy chasing me in single track to know I am slowing down when I do.

I can't relate to the pesky porkers comment- in the perspective I take it anyway Wait??? if I were in longIland would I be a pesky porker?

If your a cop or dec agent on li then yes indeed you would be a pesky porker.

09 te510 sorry about that

Hey there Long Island
I think you need to check on the euro OEM switch gear for Husky (the left one)
I believe it comes with the on/off button for the lights front and back plus its plug and play
Check with the sponsors here, some of them are based in the UK so they surely will know

Let us know what you find out, might be beneficial for evasive maneuvers :busted:
