• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I picked up a Wolfman tank bag this past weekend. I never liked the look of straps going over the side of the bike, so I pulled both side panels and mounted it underneath for a much cleaner look.

Hmmmm, I like that idea. The exception is when you travel and stay at motels in questionable areas I'd want it off then. Still, great idea. I will have to try it.

The fasteners are still there up close to the bag so the whole thing can still be removed easily by unclipping them. That's a must have as you still need to get it off easily when you have to re-fuel.

What model is the rear bag?

It's the Wolfman Wolf tail bag. It's a great size for commuting. I put my size 12 shoes and a lunch bag in there without any trouble. If you expand the zippers, you can also fit a helmet as well.

dmz_az, what did you attach the rear straps of the bag to- I was attaching mine to the frame but I notice your straps a completely hidden? do the push against the side plastics?

I put my straps behind the side plastics. The one he posted above is the same way. I blew the pic up for ya but it's a bit fuzzy.

I took the red side plastics off and fished the rear straps down just behind where the plastics reside and hooked the end down onto the frame. It's been almost 3 months now and no problems yet. You can just unclasp the fasteners to gain access to the fuel door.
