  • Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

250-500cc wr 360 engine in a 2010 wr 250 frame?

Where would one find Ohlins forks for a 360, I have a 2000 I want to trick out?

I traded some dampers for three sets of completely revalved and tricked out olhins. Going to take some work to get them on there but i like this bike and plan on keeping it so it gets a set.
 
I want an engine to build a mean iceracing powerplant on! What´s the price for a used 360 engine, working but doesn´t need to be mint?
 
Hey guys,
How about a 94 CR360 engine fitted in a 08 wr250 frame? I have an opportunity to get the engine, but without ignition, flywheel, carb, exhaust. How much of those parts can I re-use from the 250 and with how much mods?

Also, would appreciate any information about differences between CR and WR 360?

Actually there is nothibg wrong with the 250 engine, but I long For a bit more bottom end grunt and luggability in an agile chassis. Could I go wrong eith this set-up?

Im almost finished rebuilding my 360 engine & gearbox and it will be sitting there waiting for my 300 to go pop again and then its straight in.

So I got the 360 engine for transplant into my 08 250 frame. I have two questions I hope you can enlighten me.
1) Flywheel and ignition parts, can I use the ones from my wr 250 engine? Are they different from the 360?
2) Exhaust. Any idea trying to get the FMF or stock pipe to fit the 360 engine? Or are the dimensions way off? How about the muffler? Is there a difference between wr250 and 360?

how big at people going with the present cases on a 250/300? I just picked up an 06 WR250 for ice season and would love to get some more out of it, or is 300 good to go if done right?
