• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

WTB: Rear axle for 2008 TE610/other models will fit

Teambft

Husqvarna
AA Class
Took my rear wheel off yesterday for a new tire and it was brutal trying to get the nut removed. Seems as though the prior PO crossthreaded it somehow then patched it up with tons of loctite when reinstalling and meshing the threads on even more. Threads are all eff'd up.

Did some online parts searches and the PN 8000 A2788 is extremely high priced. Same part number for the TXC 250's and likely others as well. If anyone knows of any, drop me a note - already did searches on eBay. There was one on here recently but sold. Thanks.

I've looked on Ebay since I wanted to get the SM axles so I could put on some sliders (they don't have the pull lever welded on). Did you not find any there? A search on 'husqvarna 610 axle' turns up half a dozen--a couple of which look like they're from Bill's.

Thanks - saw those. Not sure how long those SM axles are....diameter of 25mm is same. My TE axle measures 273mm in length from end to end.

Thanks - if you can measure, great!!

Mine is 273mm long and should be the 25mm diameter.
I found the following:

2006 SM610
2007 TC450
2000 TE610

Of course, none have the bar welded on the one end, but I can live with out it.
I asked those sellers listed above to measure but have yet to get responses.

Thanks - I would definitely take it. Does it have the nut by any chance?

How much? Shipping to 80108. I can send funds via PayPal if you PM me your email address....or you can invoice me, whichever is best for you. Thanks a lot!!
