    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

I learned my lesson the hard way.

It all started few days ago, when i noticed that my husky was running hot and ventilator didn't want to start. I checked my water level, it was half empty, so I put some water in it, like I do in my car.
I checked for leaks, nothing found.

So I left it running idle for like 15-20 minutes, to see if ventilator will eventually start.
It didn't.

Instead a BOOM happened and the radiator hose near water pump blown.
So did my leg with it, and I feel lucky that this happened to my leg and not to my face, cause I was down there checking for leaks all that time.

Be careful with these things guys!

What could cause this "hose explosion" except ventilator issue?
Faulty radiator cap?
Tank problem?

By the looks of it it seems to be a radiator hose with a 'T' in it and that joint failed, those parts are always more delicate than a straight hose..

But I would agree that the radiator cap should have blown the excessive pressure before rupturing the hose. In the service manual there are instructions on hoy to test the cap pressurizing the system with air.

I believe it was a combo of failings, cap didn't worked for sure, and then temp sensor or cooling fan too. I will leave bike to my mechanic, I won't try to solve this by myself cause it has become a bit dangerous..
