• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TE/TC ZipTy Racing 4CS mod suspension A++++

Received my forks last week and rode a little. Deer season is in and don't like to disturb hunters so I haven't put many hours on them. Initial thought is they feel completely different. Rode some tight single track and really liked the feel, not harsh in 1-2nd gear sections like they used to be. Maybe this weekend I can put some more hours on them. I did ride it down the travel rode past my house and it was super smooth, couldn't even feel the huge potholes and noticed it tracked perfectly straight in the deep gravel that forms in the center of the road. I know that's not be riding but definaty a confidence booster on how it will handle on the trails.

Ty at Zip Ty Racing has been doing my suspention for over 15 years. Back when I started with him he rode a Yamaha and so did I. Then I got a Husky and so did the Zip Ty Racing crew What a lot of people do not understand is how to
explain what they want the bike to do. Once my bike is set up I never touch it no matter where I ride it. I ride more places with all types of terrain then most. Just check out the Nationals we are all over the place I do not touch it
Even at King of the Moto and Last Dog Standing I run the same set up as delivered from Zip Ty The bike works great in all places I win races on it and even a few Nationals So it must be done correct
I just wish I was at Zip Tys when Robert came crawing in like a wet dog who was in trouble begging. Please do my New Husky and with words of I am so sorry I cheated on you. Please forgive me. Now he acts like a school boy with his first love. Bet he will never stray again
I read on here how guys ride and spend time adjusting things over and over and I just wonder why.

The other side of the coin is I ride with AA guys who don't know and do not even have there sag set with stock suspension and win races, some of you have more natural ability than the rest of us. For the rest of us, myself included I need every bit of help I can get! Fine tuning my suspension for conditions is just a tool for me.

What setting do you think is the best for you?

racesag? Clicker positions front/rear?

Got my suspension done and trying to find a near good starting point.

I`m quite light rider so spring are 4.4 and 5.1

Thanks!

Anyone heard how long zipty is on turn around right now? I want to give them a shot at my KX500AFC ice bike/wood bike suspension but shipping takes 5 days to and 5 back and if they're 2 weeks behind that puts my return right in the busy Christmas shipping time!
It wouldnt be a big deal but we're riding ice already! If things go well I'll give um a shot at my 4cs since it sounds like they are making them better!

It's usually 7 to 12 days. Make sure you insure your package please. It's a faster turn around if the suspension is in a gun case and suspension worksheet is included.

It'll be on its way tomorrow in case with sheet, hoping for 7 days so I can ride asap! Thanks for the reply!

Just put it in a cheap gun case and ship it. Then sit back and figure out how you are gong to hold on to a bike that can now win a race. Really ship it and hold on.

You don't think a KX 500 can win an ice race? Kind of a rude post you just did there.

Put Cafe Husky rush order on worksheet/package.

Will do! Really appreciate it! I have the 500 geared to fly to the moon so top speeds should be good for the ice! Gotta get some seat time going to try the Steel Shoe 3hr charity race this year! Gotta have good suspension to take the ruts and bumps on the ice after three hours of hammering it!

Sounds like you are coming to WI.
Are you riding the National at Lake Koshkonong too?
I'm going to spectate at that one this year.

No nationals for this guy, just got into the Ice last year and took to it quick but I ride with pro flat track guys who show me how its done lol.

Thanks Tinkin I tell a guy that you are the best and get ready for a great handing bike and he tell me I am rude Really

In the mail to zipty! May be sending the 4cs set in later if all goes well! I'm most exited to hopefully have a tunner I who can get me to trust the suspension again on my 4cs!

Those guys (Ty / ZipTy) seems to have it mastered. Mine is awesome (TE511), several friends I have sent to them love it, Robert etc. Have yet to see a bad report. Those guys know suspension.
