My wife was upset because I never get time off and this is all I've talked about lol. I'm thinking a 449 and te300 will get me to shut up...for a little while lol

So are these ultimately just Bergs with Husky stickers? From looking at both they look completely identical. Also no street legal enduros?

Kinda, some upgrades and one big one, linkage on all bikes. I greatly prefer the linkage but man does the linkage stick WAY down on these bikes or what?

They look cool but to me it's due to very busy bodywork and graphics. That was the cheapest way to do a makeover. And any street legal bikes would need to pass EPA certification and why there are none. I like the fact that the '13's are collectable now. End of line. I imagine prices will parallel KTM now. I am less likely to buy funny colored vinyl, especially that institutional blue and yellow. I think black vinyl best for the seats, etc... The fender shapes etc... are KTM. Hoping for a more distictive Husqvarna down the road. New is always cool but new tends to be old within a few weeks time. At least the '13's will stand forever in the history of Husqvarna.

My buddy is cheap so when his crap stock KTM kickstand folded like a cheap kite (they are garbage and have been for years) and tore his seat he went to the fabric store and did this. Orange alligator baby. I actually really liked it.

Well saw the new 2014 lineup. If i wanted to buy a Husaberg, i would have bought one. Gone are the Huskies lads. IMO the best year was the 2009 bikes. Wish i still had my EFI 510.......

I probably should stay out of this discussion, but I am amazed after reading this forum for 4 years and the over riding sentiment being the vast majority owned Husqvarna because they either hated KTM or just wanted to be different. So now we have basically KTM's with different plastic and many are ready to place an order.
I would suggest save some money, buy a used KTM and order the new Husqvarna plastic....

Sorry, but I am having a hard time with this also, loved my Italian Huskies, and I wanted to conquer KTM, not join them.

The big difference to me is the linkage. But I bet it still will not handle like a husky x-light package. They will be great bikes they just are no longer huskys as we knew them.

Pretty much how I figured the fallout would be. Even seeing it on the husky fanboy site where those three people are discussing it. The bottom line is these are Bergs which are possibly better KTMs but still KTMs. As you noted and we all noted over and over if we wanted this bike we could have been riding them for years now. I read the other site and some are excited and I have to wonder why those people did not just by a Berg or KTM a long time ago? It is what it is. I think they look great and are sure to be fantastic bikes and get rave reviews. The done side is we lost a choice plain and simple. We gained nearly nothing. It did make the bergs look better and have a linkage so that nice. Buy wahtever motivates you and ride.

After all this disappointment, I am really considering trading my 2012 TE310 in for a 2014 TE310R since it will be the last of the Huskys for what may be an eternity... I looked at a 350EXC back when I bought my Husky but wasn't $3500 more impressed by the KTM. It's either a 2014 TE310R or a CRF250X or keep the 2012 TE310 or??? Undecided I am:confused:
