I picked up my TR650 from Bills Motorcycles Plus in Salem, Oregon earlier this month. Very much like scottinaz posted above, I had a TE250 that wasn't cutting it on the road. I stopped at Bills to look at his TE499 he had for sale. Rode it....nice. Saw his TR650 demo. Rode it....handed over a deposit and got my name on the list for the next Terra in. Before the bike came in I had the skid plate ordered (from Motosportz), and the Cycla handguards and National Deflector windscreen sitting here waiting for a new home. Finally everything came together. The Motosportz skid plate fit perfectly. The windscreen, at 14 1/4 inches above the fairing is probably higher than most of you young bucks would like, but it puts the air flow just above my visor. The lower edge fits nicely between the fairing and the instrument cluster. I fabricated a mud/rock deflector from 16g steel to add a little protection to the bottom of the engine and to all the hoses running around down there. I'm good to go.........just need some decent weather. Not quite the same up here as in Arizona and Nevada.

Thus far, due to Albuquerque's cold snap, I've only been able to put about 50 miles on my Terra. I've got to say though - It's a very nice ride and I'm really looking forward to it. My other rides include a 2008 Goldwing for long distance touring with the wife and a 1971 Norton Commando that is currently being re-built. My last adventure bike was a 2005 BMW GS1200 and I think the Husky will do just about everything the Beemer did for a lot less money and effort. I've been riding since I was 15 and in the late 60's and early 70's - I was a sponsored Maico Motocross rider. A good buddy of mine, Billy Clements, had a full Husqvarna sponsorship and his bikes were always just a bit faster - Heck, maybe it was that Billy was a better racer :-) At any rate, I am enjoying the Terra and look forward to some nice rides with my buddy who also has a Terra. Hey IPA Brewer - We bought ours at PJ's too! I'm 6'4" and weigh 230# - The bike is a great fit!

    Hey Leo,

I used to ride some in the 70's in ABQ ...at the Dam north of Montgomery and in the foothills top of Menaul, bet we crossed paths! Glad to hear the bike fits, we have a great dealer here don't we!

PM me if you're looking for company on a ride sometime.

I picked up my Terra yesterday. Maybe a little lean but that will be sorted when the dealer gets the diag tool.
Otherwise loving the bike. It's so easy to ride & feels so balanced. Can't wait to try it on the dirt.

Me and my riding buddy went to test ride a Terra at RT&T Motorsports in Muskogee, OK today. I have been in the mkt for a new bike since totaling my KLR almost three years ago (truck turned in front of me, cracked frame, severely broke wrist).
It was the smoothest dual sport Ive even ridden! Seemed very capable, agile, powerful and SMOOTH! Turns out they received a new one in a crate yesterday. Put deposit money down and I take possession next weekend! The riding buddy was so impressed with the bike that he bought one too! Now he has to sell a XR and F800gs. Not sure on the delivery of his at this time.

Dealer (Countryside, IL BMW) delivered (!) my Terra yesterday. 55F and breezy!

    Came complete with this:

Shock wrench, torx wrenches, screwdriver(s), and spark plug wrench.

USB stick had a bunch of "manuals" on it, along with catalogs of parts & accessories.

Took it for another ride today, 22F.

cbxtc6........it looks like you hit the jackpot. My under the seat area looks alot like yours, except for that cute little bag with 'Husqvarna' on it. And I have yet to get anything off my 'stick'. Congratulations !!

I just bought my Terra last night at Grand Prix Motorsports in Denver. So far, I've only got about 55 miles on it split between pavement and forest roads. I plan to use it for commuting and weekend exploring...hopefully I'll get enough miles on it with my commute this week to drop it off for the first service on the weekend and start turning up the wick past 5000 rpm a bit!

Well I reckon I can post here...even though I bought the Strada...my wife convinced me I rally needed the "safer"..(her words) motorcycle that has A.B.S... Plus she liked the black better. So ...little did she know my mind was already working..woodys can make a set of wheels in proper size and the abs will still work..after all...it's only money right. .?

I'll post pics whenever I'm done. I think it'll be pretty cool too. Glad I found this site..maybe I can contribute something useful in the future.

Just put down my deposit for Terra today. 17' ABS version.

I've seen the bike last Friday, for the first time in flesh... Definately needs some tweaking to my needs.

I haven't read all of this thread so my question might have been answered. I sat on one this past weekend and the seat is square edged up by the tank. This was irrating and slightly less when my feet were on the pegs. Do these seats get better (break the edge) after a couple hundred miles? Or is it just me??

I think this is one of the most comfortable stock seats I have ever ridden. Did 5 hours yesterday very comfortably. In a riding position, I don't think you'll notice the square edge at all. YMMV.

Well I sent Tasky's Metric cycle in Evert Wa a check 4 days after I stopped by on my way to a bike show in BC for a test ride. Been about a week. I hope to go get it after they do the moss reprogram thing to it pretty soon. Ordered it with panniers, wind screen, skid plate and service manual. I've been riding for about 55 years (started very early) I have Suzuki's Ducati's a Cagiva Honda's a Bultaco and a lonley 650 KLX650 C4. In anut shell I'll ride till I can;t hold it up any more , the bike that is, then I'll go to 3 wheels.................
