There are no plated Huskys. Also, the plastics are not the same as KTM's as we found out that we cannot install the Clockwork tanks without going to KTM white plastics . Some have previously mentioned that these are just blue ktms, they are not.

The KTM 450 SMR isn't street legal. It is also tailor made for SM with a shorter swing arm so not sure how it would be even with dirt wheels

If they hold out on plated enduros that will be a much bigger bad will decision than most will tolerate. The idea that you have to buy a KTM from the guys that won't allow you to have a plate on your Husky just won't sit well.

Brand differentiation should be about two sets of dirt bike scientists competing within the corp pool of resources like an episode of CAR WARS. It should NOT be a management decision to tie one arm behind the back of one group.

I hope they are just finalizing certification/smog stuff for 2015 models. Anything else will not be received well.

As I had posted before and speculated it was a shell game. KTM / Baja writes the checks and is in control.

it seems i have caused some confusion about "road-legal" bikes, leading people to think about non-plated enduro bikes. i have therefor altered my previous posting. sorry for the inconvenience.

I hope Husky builds the best off road dirt bike avalible to ride in the dirt or at the track. Not a chocked up Smog legal plated bike that most people take the smog off and ride it.You have KTM if you want a dual sport Let Husky work on building the best dirt bike Then once that is done work on building some dual sports Husaberg was listed as Pure Enduro and Husky use to build Dirt only. Does Husaberg/Husky have the man power at this time to work on all the different models we all want? It takes time and money to make all the different models and at this time KTM does have a Nice Dual Sport maybe a orange to white conversion kit would work for now. I understand there is a big Dual sport group with money to spend But Husaberg does not build Play bikes they build race bike at this time The future will tell if they can change
Now I really got some people upset

Speaking of choked up, I love the new 501, it is a serious high speed desert blasting bike. It has a bit of lag off the bottom, but I should be able to dyno up some new maps to allow it to run nice and snappy. The new Husky 350 is a lot different from it's orange counter part. The steering angle has been decreased and the hind end jacked up, should corner on a dime.

No reason we can't have both. KTM and husky already did.

Break-in is pretty sensitive too. You have to go really easy on them. If you are one of those people that like to wrap your bike cold or do your break-ins hard, then pistons are $500, don't ask ;).

Bingo. KTM is already by far my biggest seller. Getting the Betas sorted now to as i guess they are "light" in the front as per customers asking.

I wonder if the same holds true for the FC350 vs. the 350 SX-F? Do you have any info you can share?

Do the offroad models have close or wide ration transmissions?
