Have a look at the Hebco&Becker rear rack. Also replaces the stock plastic rack completely and has a more ergonomic handle.

The TCI system with sideracks offers a good handle. The tubing that comes down from the toprack to the side racks works perfectly as a grip point for moving the bike, and even picking it up from its side. DAMHIK.

As stated by others the Nomadic rack does give you a gripping point to slide the bike around but it's not as easy to grab as the factory rack was. But haven't we all learned by now that if you keep using the factory rack in this fashion it's just going to break soon?

I got these grab handles with my factory Husky bag rack and never mounted them. One for each side. I'm not currently using them but will keep them for possible future use. You could always try to buy these from someone who also has the factory bags or have someone make something similar.

Thanks turtlemoye, I'll have to look at those again, I have a set, but didn't think they would bolt up to my Nomadic rack, have to try another angle

turtle, as yo can see the KIT with 46 liters topcase and support, has desapeared from husky accesories web.
One solution is NOmadic, but purchasing the givi panniers with metalic support. Hebco rack also seem good solution, if it si posible to fix Shad topcase again to the new support. Thanks anyway guys.. Handle bike is essential to move bike everywhere. most when you fall down, because all normal handles are too closed to exhoust pipes.

how is posible a BMW group bike, so poor designed. how much it would cost to fix a metalic rack with nice handles in factory??. BMW GS650 HAS SOLVE PERFECTLY that matter

Hi, please suggest links of panniers and rack. I'd need them in the "middle of the world" by june the 10th. Affordable and practical ones.
Om my last bike I build a pair, but they gave me problems!!

I just saw a new product that I thought was brilliant. I was at the ADV Eastern Rendezvous and met the guy making and selling Mule Packs. They are big plastic panniers. Much more affordable than metal panniers, and I saw quite a few take a beating this week from bikes much bigger than the TR650. They are made from the same material that most kayaks are made from.

We mated them up to a set of Happy Trails racks with no issues. I suspect they would work with just about any rack though.

I guess I dont get this.
It seems like a good concept but $625 (with mount hardware) seems awfully expensive for what looks like a rubbermaid trash can.
I honestly thought these would be well under $200 when I first saw them.

Givi en Ecuador are VERY expensive! This last ones are nice but probably expensive! Lets see if I can get a pair for the next journeys. I'll be leaving with the TR650 to Cusco in 10 days, so I did aluminium hand-made panniers on a workshop close 2 my place, for less than $300, with a previous design I've already used on a KTM 640ADV 20000 Km. For the TR, I have a little tank bag, also a little soft topcase, that I bought 4 sale yesterday (the TR is no longer on the ecuadorian market neither) and the above mentioned 2 aluminium 32lt panniers. Regarding the bike, I have a lot of questions for a 3k miles adventure in 21 days!!! Such as chain tension with weight and how delicate can be the electronic system can be. Around 1000 miles we will be 2up (myself 175lb and my teen-ager son 110lb + basic gear).
