I just hope that the set-up is a lot better than what Pitster Pro had going with their bike that was similar to the PR3. There support for the bike was dang near non-existent. Then again though, their price point was a couple of thousand less. They seemed to have a good idea, but failed to follow through. I had to get rid of mine while it was still fairly new because I was afraid that if something major happened, that I'd be screwed. The AJP sounds like a great idea and I'll be following it to see how it all shakes out.

Ya I think KTM 640 Adventurer when I see this new bike. Topped off with a Yamaha engine. This would be very cool. I wonder about fuel capacity, that is the only real question I have, at least at this point since I'm just dreaming.

Thats a prototype for the shoe but should be for real in about a year. Yes Yamaha 660. Should be priced very well as all their products are.

Yes but less expensive, lower carried weight (tank and muffler), lower overall weight, fully adjustable inverted forks, fully adjustable shock, etc. Probably a 2 year warranty also. I think this would be a hit here.

That PR7 will be quite an improvement for serious riding, over the Tenere!

Based on the mock up concept I would have to agree.
I own a 2012 Super Tenere, and although Yamaha boasts off road capability, I've found it to be lacking for my aggressive style riding. I took it on some ATV trails 2 weeks ago and rode 45 miles of the trail system. During that time I bottomed out several times slapping the skid plate a few times upon landings... I'm guessing the engineers didn't design it for regular trail riding but the occasional gravel road or hard packed forest road. In the 2 years and 12,000 miles I've owned it, this was the hardest I pushed the big beast off road, mostly it's my touring bike but it was fun to beat on it a bit. My point being, the smaller Tenere looks similar in design to the super Tenere and the new AJP looks more like a venerable off road machine that could eat some pavement as well. I'll be tuned into the development of this new bike for sure. The AJP reminds me of a 640 Adventurer without the 6 gallon tank.

It actually looks like it has a rather large tank. Seems to be mostly over the rear wheel. That concerns me as people tend to want to strap the kitchen sink to a bike like this. It might get un-balanced. The other thing, they need to consult with the folks who designed the Italian huskies to get some styling advice. I know rally bikes usually favor function over form, but...
