Davis is about as close as any town to this place I need to have a plan before soliciting help, which is being formulated... Sadly I've been doing that instead of taking care of business on cafe husky.. It finally rained a bit, 6" this weekend, here is a picture from today:
Me too... I wanted to finish a long list of things to do so I could focus on cafe husky - or I would be seriously distracted in multiple directions. Very very cool. The water might be 40 F? 50F? Dunno, but I am not wading into it
Im late to the thread, but congrats on your move! Maybe get your self a yard goat instead of a weedeater. Much easier to operate.
i jsut seen this aswell, great lookin spread...i say block up a nice "natural type" pool with soem rocks in that stream and have a place to cool down when done riding!
It's time. Let me know who may be interested in cutting trails, cutting wood, etc. A bit of fun, a bit of work, repeat.
Sounds ok to me! Officially there is 1 spare bedroom.. but there are campsites, some far away, some close, on the property. No 'fun' trails yet though...
Not sure... the primary problem is that until it rains a bit, and the timing of rain is a bit difficult to predict (Late Nov, Dec?), there could not be any campfires. And while there is plenty of space to camp.. not really a lot to ride. Lets see what a few people think when they take a look at the place, hard for me to be objective.
Nice, I will try and make it down there this summer. Where is it again? Blue ridge? Looks like about 600 miles / one long ass day in the truck.
It is about 30 minutes west of Winters CA, but has a Napa CA address. I believe it is just under 600 miles from you. EDIT: Google says 10 hours 20 minutes.. but people tend to stop occasionally for a variety of reasons. EDIT 2: Before anyone commits to a long distance to ride here, it would probably be very prudent to let others visit and evaluate how 'good' it may be here. On the other hand there is other riding in the area not horribly far away. Perhaps someone that actually knows how to ride well could help set up some trails.
Hmmmm...almost close enough for a day trip of the 'up before dawn' variety. Like Kelly says, making trails is half the fun.
