There is a large amount of poison oak at this location, though it is not 'everywhere'. What is almost everywhere are weeds that give off 'burs', and certain footwear should be avoided i.e. fabric tennis shoes and fabric laces. Here are some pics of shoes & socks after walking in those weeds for about 20 minutes. It took 2 hours to clean the shoes, and the socks were a total loss.
How about September? maybe cooler and after school starts it is EZer for me to get away sometimes. I could do August as well. Throw some dates out and lest see what sticks.
