    Parts are non issue. They have a distribution center right here in Cali. If I had the scratch I'd be here all day long rubbing it in about my new Beta.

    And by the same token, there is a dealer or two in my area, and more around Southern California. Yup, as much as I love my WR 300, there is plenty about the Beta that would make me switch out in a heartbeat if I had the money.

    Ok parts are a phone call away but there is still nothing like a local dealer, for local knowledge on issues with the bikes....

    A 390 or 430 is one of my finalist for a new bike.... basically down to 16 FC350, 16 TC125, 16 390, 16 430..... somewhere around that order....

    my problem with each bike-

    Beta- local dealer is TINY with little to no knowledge of the bike....

    Husky- New models (usually dont like first year bikes)....

    If you buy leftovers when they have the deals you may only pay 2500 for a 125 lol

    It's always a tough call when you can't even figure out which displacement:)

    I could walk to my local dealer. He sells both Beta and Husky. He races a Beta and is all in with the brand.

    Regarding the Betas, I read the reviews, followed the brand specific forums and after basically 45 yrs of riding and racing 2T Yamahas - without seeing one in person I purchased my 14 Beta 300RR. I'm happy with it except for the forks which will have to be taken care of by a professional tuner. Regarding parts, no problem in getting them and the bike is solid anyway. As far as a dealer, I have never relied on a dealer in that early on I could not afford taking a bike to them and secondly, most of my dealers were retailers not riders and could only spout manufacturers sound bites.

    Regarding first year bikes; what bike available today is truly a first year bike? Most are based off a current platform and may have some "new" improvements according to the ad-men.

    The 16' MX model Huskys are true first year bikes.... all new engine on 125 and new chassis...

    And I agree choosing a bike is hard when I cant totally nail down which path to take....

    I really like 125s even tho I'm living large (phat).....

    But when it comes right down to it it'll probably be a FC350 or 390.... on the outside looking in 430 and 125 and maybe a Gasser if I could get a crazy deal....

    My random thoughts on the subject...

    I rode the TE250 recently and have ridden the Beta many times as a friend has one (2015 300rr). I did not like the TE250 either, the motor seemed odd and weak, the rest of the bike was OK. The Beta I liked the motor a lot, it is slower handling and feels more planted but did not like the stock suspension settings much. I ride a 2015 KTM 300 W now and like it better than the Beta as the stock suspension is surprisingly way better for our riding. Beta owner agrees. Motor wise they feel very similar, both very good. Stock for stock I like the KTM300 the best of all of them, the Beta a close second and the TE a ways behind but it was a 250 not a 300. The Beta with a revalve would be as good or better then the KTM300 IMHO. All are good bikes for sure but have very different feels and advantages. The Beta is the smaller of the three for sure and probably better for smaller pilots.

    My friend Tim who owns a '12 300XC-W, rode the '16 TE250 at the dealer meeting and he thought it was the best Husky Enduro 2T bike. He's ridden GG, Sherco and Beta 300's. He doesn't want the AMA to know, but he's a good A rider..... :busted:

    I rode the te250 after the new 125 which blew me away so my perspective was skewed. I LOVED that 125.

    I don't know how they do it, but Betas seem to fit the widest range of people. I am 6'-3 and I feel more comfortable on a Beta especially standing than any other bike. Seat height is a little lower, but handle bars seem to be higher than most.
    Beta USA is rock solid as an importer, some dealers are better than others. There are a few that are under committed, but I am the dealer in Knoxville, TN, and even though we are pretty new, we are very committed. We have bikes, parts, and we ride, and also have a race team with a rider that was 26th overall at the TKO this year.
    It's all upside for Beta IMO.

    If somebody else is buying, I'll take the 250 RR. Otherwise, Mommy still loves her dinosaur-esqe WR300, which still sticks a tight turn better than the Beta.:love:
