Horsepower on any modern dirtbike is the least of my concerns. They all produce sufficient power, every Jap bike, every Euro bike. And I agree that the current gen Hsq 4 stks are overbuilt. Heavy, feel heavy and dont turn as well as the competition. I had one. I tried to race it several times with different configurations. It didn't work for me. Now my Husky 2stk is a different story - I love that bike!
lol ... is it really necessary to trash the current line of bikes to promote this new bike? Maybe this salespitch is not needed here
Here is some info on the new hybrid transmission...as you can see its a big improvement over the previous design. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLDgQg6bq7o&feature=youtube_gdata
Where am I trashing anything? It's like saying the TXC has better power delivery then the TE, would I be trashing the TE by saying that? get a grip. New G450X is a new generation and evidently a few HSQ engineers feel it's an improvement too, so put the nancy feelings in the goochie bag and pull the panties out of the crack and let's go get a beer.
Sure and your buying but you gotta take off your cheerleading skirt and hang up your pom-poms because I don't like my cheerleaders with whiskers ... But I can attest that the Bajaj engine uncorked and mapped appropriately has better/more power everywhere for me over my previous TXC510 with or without JD jetting kit or Rekluse and riding the new Bajaj 450 is like riding on an overly well balanced inline 4 in regards to engine vibes.
Thought I would lighten things up a bit...actually he sounds like most of the BMW owners I have known.
Off subject here but: It looks like the new rear fender can double as a funnel !!! (check photo) wow thats a concept. http://www.cyclenews.com/articles/motocross/2010/04/26/husqvarna-unveils-radically-new-450
Juha Salminen will race this new BMW Husky 450 hybrid already tomorrow and Sunday at Spanish Enduro series race at Ourense, Peroxa (May 15-16). Info from Juha's site, seems very excited.
It seems odd that the color is still black..... I suppose given the bespoke nature of developing this new bike lends itself to keeping things low key.....which is understandable on the other hand.....they could be keeping the cards close to their chests...not wanting to reveal the new color scheme(if there is one) too soon.... blue and white ???...is also the same colors as the Husqvarna logo :jawdrop:
Maybe there going back to different colors. Silver 500 Purple or Black 390 Red 250 I am surprised he isn't wearing the Husky Red/Black/White. There is that Blue/White BMW emblem in the background.
Well, if they are going to do that, why don't they just do away with Husky and make it all BMW. This new bike is basically just a Husky version of a BMW. Probable where they are headed anyway.
Still not particularly thrilled with the front fender.......... If they go that route, there will probably be a market for a better replacement made by someone like Polisport etc.......
From this angle the front fender has a "striking" resemblance to a cobra. Striking.....ha......ha.....
