its getting more and more real now. news from FB page Guys, Currently our plan is to divide each class into 1/3s. We will start 1/3 of the entrants on each Course simultaneously, fastest classes first, riders starting individually on 15 (or 30) second intervals. Then each 1/3 group will move on to the next course, and the next course, etc., always starting in the same order. Each entrant will be given a set of 6 "key" start times, two for each course, and the entrant's "key" time will begin the elapsed time for that pass, whether the entrant is there to start on time or not. There will be 20-30 minutes breaks factored in between the estimated finish time of each pass and the key time for the next Course start. There are no "Teams" but if you want to ride with your buddies, and you are all in the same class, send your entries in together and we will do our best to accommodate.

Some details from the course crew: 1. Ride each section as fast as you can, take a short break, work on your bike, talk with your buddies then go out on your next section! 3. Three courses, approximately 5.5, 7.5, and 8.5 miles. Ride each course twice. 6 loops total. Breaks in between (if you don't screw up). Not super technical. Best be on time for each of your 6 "key" time starts 'cause your timing and scoring begins then whether you are there or not! 4. Key times will be posted at the race. Check your number and get your 6 key times! This is CRITICAL! #clubnews
detailed yes, simple yes. just write down on a paper and clear packing tape your key times onto your bar pad and have a race clock synched watch on you or the bike. Be at the gate(s) on your time and go. faster you get though your test the more time you will have in between loops....
Yeah, the restart enduro was really easy compared to an ISDE, ISDE is really easy compared to a time keeper... These sprint enduros are almost too easy. Later,
The timing sounds very similar to ISDE Qualifiers I rode up in Oregon and Washington back in the 1990's. When your minute came up the clock started clicking weather you were there or not. We were given our checkpoint times,(similar to your key times) in advance based on your start number. I would write the check times on a strip of duct tape and put that tape right on top of my fuel tank so it was easy to see and I wore a wrist watch synched to the official race event clock. FYI: my official "race watch" was a sturdy, waterproof diver's watch I picked up in a pawn shop for about $35.00. That watch served me well for over 20 years of hard use in all conditions including crashes till it finally gave up the ghost.
Sent in my dough so I'm committed (why do I feel like I'm in over my head???). I'm going to try to Ironman that weekend. LAMC on Saturday and Big 6 in Lake Elsinore on Sunday (I could finish the Big 6 2nd Class).
