jajajjaa NEV, now my sahara front it is just a slick, and grip so well on tarmac curves than ever. now it is running on tarmac, as strada does. i rely on totally. this afeternoon i will change for BRIGESTONE TW 301. my new sensations in a couple of days. anyway Terra is to heavy on the front, i will try to equilibrate waste on both tyres mounting 302 130/80/18.. I go on thinking 140 is to much section for Terra.
Hey Glengemen - i'd be interested to know what brush guards your running, and tires too for that matter.......great shots!
Went out for a spin today around Arivaca AZ. Just off the highway, (can't see it from the highway) is this scull. Then I went in search of the Arivica Lake. In the desert no less. Along the way I stopped under this wicked tree. From the severely pitted tar, if you can call it that, there was 2.5 miles of gravel. And at the end of the road, the lake was diminished quite a bit. I have to wonder what wagon trains were like in the day. I covered over 100 miles in a few hours. I can pick a landmark and be there in short order. Imagine having a horse and wagon team. Horses and settlers needed to eat and drink, and probably could cover 25 miles in a day. Imagine the the faces of a parched traveling wagon train seeing this for the first time. Sure, it is not grand, but it ain't no mirage.
mag00 great shots, love the one under the tree, way cool! Curios to know what pipe are you running on your terra?
Thanks! The silencer is a modified 700 raptor with a custom midpipe. Stock mount configuration, steel construction. Sounds OK.
Thanks for the complements on the pictures! The pictures are great, but in person the landscape is truly breathtaking. My tire in the rear the stock Sahara 3. Believe it or not it's never been off. I discovered its limitations on this trip traction wise and it's replacement has arrived and will be installed soon. The replacement is a TKC80 to match the front. I'm using 4mm michelin tubes. This combo is HEAVY, but I'm riding it home on long solo rides without issue on roads that are quite rocky. The handguards are cycle gears solo aluminum handguard bars that I bought during summer. Winter hit and I needed deflectors. I bought the kit with bars and deflectors because I didn't like the solo deflectors. So the second set of aluminum handguards went unused, but they don't have the beef of the solo ones. Also I have LED spots attached to the handguard right above the turn signals. Between those and my LED headlight I put cars to shame on light output!

I'm running the eruption. Power change in this post http://www.cafehusky.com/threads/how-to-change-the-tr650-air-filter.40519/#post-396031 Without the baffle it is loud, with the baffle, just a normal volume, different tone.
All I can think of when I see a TR on it's side is there goes the radiator. Some day I'll tell my tale of radiator repair......
