  • Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Barkbusters Ringmaster stickers D.i.D chain
Akro full Ti Exhaust Power Commander5 Pivot pegs
Red Rad hoses. Dyno tuned at 52.8hp rwhp
Full Warp9 tard setup with 320mm brake rotor and 44t spocket. Running ContiAttack SM's

Next inline is a seat concept wide seat, Driven shifter, 2012 rear tail replace, and maybe a steering dampner.

Figured I might as well whore up this section a bit with Pics of my '04 450smr - Been posting in the 630 section for a few as that is the newest instal to the stable but need to show the old track toy some love too

I love this bike - Not a ton of Go-Go Mods other than Susp (50mm Marzies and Rear Shock off an '06 AMA Bikes) and some carb black magic to go with the shortie stock exhaust - Also dropped in a Surflex Slipper this season - She still fires right up and hangs with any newer 450 all day on the track

For cosmetic mods, I added the Carbon Matrix Alpinas, new Graphics and the Gutz Seat Kit after the previous owner shaved down the stock seat - So, I give you my track toy - Hoping for one more season out of the motor before the rebuild

Thanks Man - I race with a lot of guys who are running newer models - '10 510 & '11 511 convert and it is pretty cool to see the old next to the new - While both are modded and are of course FI, my old carbed 450 is right there with them - They pull a bit on the straights but that just makes me go in hotter to catch up

Personaly, I still dig the old school boxie look of the '04-'06 model line

Where did you get your graphics? I really like them!
 
Just recently upgraded from a 2004 drz400, to this..... my new (to me) sexy sexy te310 2011
stock as a rock, 1000klms, 40hrs. Previous owner kept bike in good condition and seemed pretty genuine with his maintenance :)
few questions i need to ask in other threads but absolutly stocked with the performance and ridability of this machine! cant even compare this to the drz
been interested in the huskys for a while and couldn't be happier :) :)

;) That's how we "secretly" spread mustard seeds everywhere:banana: - you know... because that's what we've been accused of doing so that we loose usage rights in some areas... This is what we were doing the whole time... (but is was a big secret). ATV's definately don't do this.:banghead:
