• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

wanting to change the graphics on the Strada.

Thats great. Bike Looks super. I think I want something wilder. I do prefer the red on the Terra. I have the Black Strada.

Just say the words and I'm sure someone will swap plastics with you. Black plastics have been a hot commodity as of late. Or, if you want to order a set of reds, they should run you around $50 for the set.

X2...I have both red and black sets. Just for kicks last night I put red on one side and black on the other...looked kinda cool...but once the  wore off, it didn't stay that way for very long.

My inspiration...

Just need to figure out how to flip the words so that I can have a right AND left side decal...

OK, here's what I did. If you go to ebay, type in Husqvarna sticker 11", the first one up will be a guy in Whittier, CA. Two stickers for $9.99. He ships fast, too. I'm no expert, but vinyl quality seems good.

Got mine on Monday and started to get the first one on! Had fun with the angles but got somewhere with it!

Had a friend with a red, white & blue DuoGlide (red on one side, blue on the other, and a white stripe down the middle. He had his helmet painted the same, had a leather jacket made, and even had red and blue boots.

Vinyl wrapping the panels is a major pain, and is near impossible with a single piece of vinyl.
Hence the break up/camo pattern.

Dangslow and others... did u guys use a Heatgun to get the old sticker off or did you just pull the old one off?

I'm also curious about this, I'm itching to get the factory 650 stickers off pronto. Just wondering how much gunk they leave behind.

Ugh...EVERYONE prior to me getting my Terra (Feb. 2013) said they just heated the decal up little and it came right off (no clear coat paint on top of them). I did this and when I started to peel my decals off a layer of clear also came up and ruined on of my plastics! I do not know if at some point in production they started to clear coat over the "tank" decals or if mine was a one off thing.

Kjack, I bought mine in March 2013 and the dealer heated and pealed it right off.

Don't worry about the clear coat though. Now you have a good reason to vinyl wrap it.
