• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

What is the weight limit for AMA lights(not that they will hit the, uh you know, min number of bike rules) A Husky hater keeps quoting a weight limit saying bike to light.

Husky is claiming a weight of about 202.4 pounds. Hopefully they are exagerating that weight, like everyone else does. if not they won't be racing until they pork up a little.

3. Minimum weight requirements
a. 0-125cc........... 194 pounds

b. 126 -250cc....... 213 pounds

c. 251-450cc....... 220 pounds

...dear santa......

I'm very commited to my '07 for the time being.

Otherwise- I'd be cleaning out my 401k (what's left of it :banghead:) paying everything off and being the first old fart on the block with one.

Cheese and crackers! ......that thing haunts my dreams..... *snivel*

that 401k thing ain't a such bad idea,,,,before its all gone****************************************************************************************************************************************************************

Oh- great, reinforce my fiscally suicidal spending ideas.

....."back-off man, I'll take the plunge, I mean it!!!".....

;)

I think it's time the AMA revises the weight limits to encourage more weight savings. If Husky can do it on a production machine without all the 'unobtainium' then no reason not to lower it.

I'm so use to slinging around a 260lb bike (EXC) and my 610 I wouldn't know what to do with 202lbs. It would be fun to figure it out though. :applause:

Beauty bike by the way.

If that bike weighs 202 lbs., I'm a fried banana.

All bike makers, sans KTM, fudge by at least 10 lbs.

PV,
I promise you its really lite,
I swear it feels lighter the my kids RM125.
the front wheel was locked and chocked but lifting the rear up into a nose wheelie was a cinch, which could also be front end weight bias set up.
you can bet that ready to ride will see @215 (hopefully) R

under weight can also mean placing weight where the rider wants it, been done like that in all forms of racing. (the 09 TC250 is a gem!!!)

Rob-

Just got off the phone with Josh and Paul.

OMG- the #'s and rating the race-team is getting from the motor and more are shocking.
Even if we get a 'tamed down' version for reliabilty, it's stil gonna rip.

My 401k has never been in such jeapordy. And I don't even race!

*gulp*

Help.

If you mean that they will be able to add weights post production to meet the rule, they won't, it's on the AMA cant do list.

F the AMA I want my 250 fix************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************ I really think that despite my tank like weight I could rail on that thing!!!
