• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

The name does ring a bell Michel. I think the best place to ask that question would be on the vindurouk forum here in the UK.

I have finally taken delivery of a superb replica of the original Falk enduro mudguard. I have been searching for over 10 years. I have a small collection of very old and bent genuine ones, but no where near good enough to put on the bike. I also have a new fibreglass replica from Claude. This is nice, but a bit heavy and does not bend (no good for me as I am known to throw the bike at the scenery) Then I discovered this in the U.S. I am told they are injection moulded, and the finish is absolutely incredible. The fit is spot on, in fact better than the motocross replica I had before.

So what was the place that you bought the fender ? I found a place in Co. but He only sells the pair front and rear and he would not separate a pair so I said forget it.

They are one and the same. I figured that I might as well have a spare front guard, so I had no issue ordering both.

From Randall at Vintage Dirt Bike Parts.

Hi assume you mean the actual gear which is riding on the end of the main clutch shaft, held out by a spring? Very common that these two are worn, but they can be sent to Dave pratt for repair, did that myself a couple of years ago with success! I also make sure that I roll forward slightly while engaging the engagement gear, just as a precaution, since it is a venerable part!

Just to bring this thread up to date (ish !). I have now had to go through all the photo's and replace them **************************************** :banghead: Photobucket have ruined countless threads on various forums by their stupid actions ! I hope I have got them all in the right place.

There is also a video of the last lap of the 2 day time card enduro in the north of England. The Hot Trod Enduro is a must do ....
