  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc 1999 WR125 in near new condition, need mod advice

If you want to change the plastic to '00-'04, you'll need tank, radiators, seat and subframe to make it work. Rear axle changed in '01, front axle changed in '02. You can use same rear wheels after '00, up to '08 with newer spacers and fronts with newer size bearings, as hubs are the same. Swap springs front and rear for your weight, stock CR250 rates might still be too soft.

00-04 rads wont directly fit. Ive kept my original rads. the lower plastics dont fit perfectly but its a good enough fit.

Hey everybody, I know this thread is old but just thought this may be relevent for ur new to u bike, I have owned a 1999wre for 4 years now and have done a fair bit of a mods list which some are relevent to u, it now sits with a 2007 250wr rear shock and 2008 front forks off a te510, 2000 model cr exhaust system and graphics from a company motostylemx, they are great, this year of bike though was the last year husqvarna actually owned itself and before Ducati bought them out they never received the moulds for the plastics so take good care of them, other than that I have a big bore kit done by eric gorr, and just a few other goodies, I hope that helps

I never tought plastic would be a problem for me when i bought a husky, it looks ok now but im afraid to damage the thing...
Something so simple like plastic, common!... :censored:
Nice bike, give me a heads up if you sell the plastic. :p

I hate to bring up older threads but I'm in this boat with you guys.. My 99 plastic is in decent shape for a 15 year old bike, its all there and not broken. But the last thing i want to do is break any of it. I've been contemplating the possibility of 3d printing them. But honestly don't know a thing about 3d printing or the quality of the plastic(for mx use). Any ideas anyone on 3D printing them?
