  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2010 TE250 Smashed rod

I would love to know 100% on whts needed for 310 kit
lso wondering if the 2012 model engine or any other 310 engine would fit, I need solid info before going ahead with something like that

This is what you need to make it a 310 I did it to mine. I ordered parts for a 2011 te310.
For a 310 you need the piston, cylinder, crank(stroke is different), head bolts, timing chain and timing chain guides
A 2012 310 will work in your bike.

I think im just going to go with the factory 250 parts for now, But definitely for the next build ill look at the 310 kit,
Ive quoted up all the parts from KTMparts.com nd they've come to smidge over 2k with free international shipping , Ive got all the parts i need in this order all i need is them to confirm stock then its ll good to go!!

That's not surprising from what I've read. Try some local dealers for parts, or if you don't get anywhere that way, I'd call Danny at Zip Ty. Bills, or Halls here in Yank land.

0w40 you reckon? reckomended is 5 or 10/40... so not really sure
Was thinking maybe just going with Bel ray oils for now
