Power: My feeling is, that the power is "more than sufficient", but then again, I'm not that good. But the +3 times ISDE guys I ride with, have the same feeling. As mentioned before, I'm more of a 250 guy i the narrow rough terrain.
Long term, I have only ridden my old 2004-Te450 where the power can be difficult to control, and after some time out there, you feel your arms are getting longer. On the 449, you don't get this feeling, because it it so easy to control the power, it just so precise in the throttle control. this is the part that is difficult to measure, or show on a dyno. But you feel it instantly!.
I'm a mechanical engineer, and work every day with torque, power, RPM etc, so I'm more than familiar with measuring /calculating these things.
Some of the other guys ride new KTM's

Looking at the pictures from ISDE (nice), you will see the headlight fairing is not standard, the ears on the side are gone! Can be cut of with a stanley knife. And then they have the all titanium Acrapovic, which is +1000 euro.
When it's comes to styling (which is stupid on a enduro bike) 2 of us have now decided to change ours to the 449 prototype in black style /Salminen. Lets see..
P.S: For winter use! Just got info on TE/TXC449 + spiked tires. You will need to install a spacer on the bottom of the rear shock, that lifts the spring up + mount a TC tank! Code number for complete assy is: 8000H6366 Don't know the price yet. It seems the spikes can get in contact with the shock and tank. Seems a little stupid, to be honest

P.P.S. Still no rekluse ready. "Springtime" they say
