• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

83 CR500, here begineth the lesson

I keep reading this post in the hope that you have got the bl**dy thing going.:excuseme:
Ha, I know what you mean ********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************! I keep writing it for the same reason, its only days away, just like this time last month !

This year, next.... whatever, plenty of plonk to sooth the ravages of time. the queensland adage come to mind. dont put off to tomorrow, what you can put off too next week!

It's been a week since I gave my kickstart gear to a specialist to get some oilways drilled. Specialist fuckwit hadn't touched it so re-patriated and shrunk in the ally bronze bush with a little LN2, attacked it with a dremel/needle file and reamer. Job done and now un-believers ....Nothing can stop me from starting the beast! Well, Monday anyway, busy weekend, and then really there is no reason why it won't run **************************************** No broken legs just smoke and ring a ding ding ding. We'll see Mr Dukkman !

Nice.

I saw another one the other day.
" Hard work never killed anyone but why take the risk "

Sorry dukkman, i did a couple of months work (i use the term loosely) at Wayne (magic cycle) Leonard's in Cairns. So yes it is a Queensland adage....I just borrow it now!

All together and starting 'the thing' in the morning !! Nothing can go wrong.
And as adages go, one from the late Spike Milligan....
"You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all the people some of the time. Which is just long enough to be President of the United States."

Kick it , Kick it good , na na na na.

Oh hang on :D
It goes
Whip it
Whip it good.
Na na na na

Wrong song.

"You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all the people some of the time. Which is just long enough to be President of the United States."

It's all relevant to the level of gullability Joe !
That quote could also apply this side of the pond !
But how true :applause:

Well it started ****************************************!! It would have been recorded if the memory card had been in the camera. But, would it start again? Would it f u c k !
Good spark, stripped the carb and all looks ok. The fuel I drained looked manky though so in the morning its fresh fuel and plug.
The thing is resting under its blanket with its reed blocks out for the night so it can breathe. The sound and smell made me all un-necassary, brought back memories both good and bad of two strokes I have known !
