• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

8th Annual NE Husky Gathering 2014

I'm bringing the whole family this year! As long as there's room on the trailer, I'll be bringing up my '83 KDX 250 "zombie" bike (because it looks dead and decayed, but can still make noise and move around slowly). Also, I'll be bringing up an impossibly rare, only one in America, boutique Italian 80 cc bike! I can guarantee very few people know about these bikes, and no one has seen one quite like this.

I would love to make this gathering however the distance is a bit much for my limited time off availability. May have to move vacations around next year.

I'm starting to get worried, sent out for a new passport a month ago after being informed by a friendly border guard mine had expired. :banghead:
Really gonna suck if I have to miss another year.

I hope your Passport comes and you can make it. Still hard to believe, that we need Passports.....

Not that much of a stretch really. They started with the passport ID's and migrated to full on passports. Makes it expensive to take a fishing trip.

At least when I get this one, it'll be good for 10 years. If wasn't in a hurry to get it, would have been here in 2 weeks.

Hi, I would like to know if there is anyone coming might need some parts for an 1987 430 wr project? Anything specific please let me know and I will bring it with me to the gathering. Thanks……..Ie Forks, Tank, Ohlins shock….

Due to work obligations: I will not be on site until Friday afternoon about 3pm. Joe will not arrive until Saturday AM. Please follow the arrows and ribbons to the camping area and no riding until you are signed in.

Don't make me use words I usually reserve for MX riders.

Sir
1. you are a Husqvarna Rider!
2. You are a Vintage Rider!

Nothing tougher than that

Nuff said

BTW John, I did 4 classes at Unadilla in MX just to entertain you and let you see how it is "not done" and have a few chuckles at my expense.

Payback.....don't make me call some friends in Jersey to "convince" you to attend............Just sayin'

I'm guessing it's a rain or shine event , as the forecast for Cortland is not looking good  .

I know it says sunny Sunday, & you woods rider types - love mud , but I'm now debating.

Maybe because last years event , had mostly awesome weather, I was just spoiled.

I guess it will be a last minute decision.

Don't let The Weather forecast be your decider. The conditions at the Logan Farm are excellent and forecasting the weather in that area (Cortland/Ithaca) is like playing Russian roulette with 5 bullets.
Most of the trails are in the woods and it would take several days of constant rain to make it bad (or good)
