• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I got my new Forma boots this week. I can't believe how good they fit right out of the box. These are my first hinged ankle boot and are much more comfortable than my tech8's. I wore them around the house for 2 hours and have no pressure points.

There is plenty of room in the calve area for pants or knee brace.

I compared them to a pair of SG10's. The Forma booty insert makes it feel much better than the Sg10 and it seems to be more supportive all the way around.

Great boot at a great price!

Question for those of you that have bought the Forma boots.

How does the size compare to what shoe size you wear?

I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on a pair of these and want to get the right size. My current riding boots are about a size larger than my shoes.

Thanks for the replies.

I wear 11, bought 11, fit perfect. Slightly smaller than my Alpenstar Vector 11's.

- I really liked the boots, very comfortable.

Does anybody know how they fit compared to a set of Gaerne SG10s? I wear a size 6 in those, but I wear a size 7 in a pair of Thor Quadrants.

I would call Brian @ Atomic 541-550-0969, and ask him. He is a very service oriented kind of guy.

I normally wear a size 9W in tennis or walking shoe. The Forma 9's fit fine. I tried a pair of 10's and were a bit too big. Also the Forma are so comfortable I think I'm going to switch to wearing thin baseball socks.

Wore my Fomas, my AXO pressure suit and my $29.95 Bell helmet. All worked very well. The Helmet is not real well vented so is on the warm side but fit nice and excellent visibility. The Boots were AWESOME both in support and comfort and the pressure suit continues to amaze in comfort and coverage. I had a couple good crashes. Apparently it is not good to look at scenery when there is no established trail and huge rocks. Also not good to drop off a 5 foot ledge into a gully littered with hidden rocks, went over the bars and rag dolled a few yards. Only injuries were my knees (no knee guards) but my upper body was well protected and i was fortunate to be wearing the right protection.

Hey Gang,

I took your sales pitch too and bought the size 11 Forma Dominator boots from Atomic-Moto in blue. I wear a 10.5 wide shoe and the Forma size 11 boot has plenty of room and feel real good. I also bought a pair of Klim over the boot pants in blue from A-M. Both arrived yesterday and I tried the combination out last night the minute I got home. Was like a kid at Christmas. All I can say is NICE! Boots fit good and seem pretty flexible, pants fit good and seem very rugged. Now I just have to get used to them both. Anyway, that's my two cents worth!

Have several rides on my Forma / Klim / AXO / Bell stuff from Atomic and LOVE them.

That's not all I love :D...

Okay, even though I have too many pairs of boots, I ordered some anyway. Talked to Brian; what a nice guy he seemed like. They got the order out fast. I am excitedly tracking my shipment as it makes it's way down to my place. Should get some boots on Monday.:busted:

i have that same pick of you trying to mount
your 310 when you first got it,
and then i seen one of you doing your 450

im starting to think its not safe to go into the woods
with you anymore

maybe if i was not riding a husky i would be safe!
never seen you do that with your yamahaler

anyone that rides with this guy keep an eye on him
he's not right im telling you:busted:

S:p

Just picked up a new lid myslef. It's a TLD thunderbird. GOt it on ebay for $300 delivered. NICE helmet bag and extra visor included. Brand new from a dealer. I saved $169 because the other spare visor was missing. I love that thing and the helmet in the bag and the extra visor all together still don't weigh as much as my old HJC does alone. The deals are out there. Gotta sniff them out. Great find on the Bell.

I love my Forma Boots! I did three days of riding in the Ozarks with so many creek/river crossing I lost count. The boot are water proof until the water goes over the top of the boots.

I don't need new boots this year but almost feel obligated to buy some Forma's after reading all the positve stuff about them. Might have to buy a pair and tuck em away.

I bought a pair of the Raptor Comps. Nice boot, good attention to detail, runs a little narrow (and I got little narrow feet), seem a bit on the heavy side, but you can't beat the price for the quality and the construction. Looks like they will resist water quite well.
