• Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

    Thanks for your patience and support!

Atomic chearleader :>)

OK, more Atomic Motos cheer leading. I got some of the polarized Pro Grip goggles. They RULE. Super comfortable, work great in the sun, very nice quality, nice covered foam feels good. My favorite goggles I have tried.

two thumbs up :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Forma boot update:

These things ROCK. I am really liking the Forma boots i got from Atomic Moto. I wore my much loved Alpine Stars the other day for a quick / short local ride and kinda hated the lack of support I did not realize i was missing until I got the Formas. The Formas are harder to get on and fit tighter but offer WAY more support, especially at the ankle (my first hinged boots)/ I just love them. had one screw back out a little on one of the buckles but other than that have been 100 bullet proof over near 1000 miles of riding. No stitching coming loose, nothing broken. Most waterproof boot i have had as well.

On another note my KLIM pants are also awesome. Love the big vents as the weather gets hotter.

Ordered up on of the Klim hydration packs from Atomic. I'm sure it will be great as well.

Good stuff.

I got the inexpensive model of Formas and they are very comfortable and look good. Not as much support as an expensive boot, but as much as any entry level boot that would cost around 150/160 bucks and much better attention to details as well. Can't beat this boot for under a hundred dollars. I can't tell how waterproof they are and probably won't get to test them in wet conditions till next winter.

+1 for Atomic Moto. I just placed an order there and ended up with normal shipping. Then I received a call from Brian telling me that I should have received free shipping and that he was going to credit the shipping! What a nice suprise! Definitely check these guys out: http://www.atomic-moto.com/

There are some close out deals there that are hard to resist. I stopped by for a look and ended up ordering another helmet for $10.00, goggles for $10.00 and handlebars for you guessed it $10.00.

I had to jump over there and get some more stuff also. As much as i ride i trash stuff quick. Nice to have a resource like this. I see he is carrying the giant loop bags... AWESOME.
