Can anyone give abit more info on this mod?Did you remove the plastic airbox restrictor located behind the foam filter?
As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!

That's the case for US models, anyway.
I could be wrong, but I think the only difference from the Q4 and the Powercore 4 is the quiet insert. That is why the Q4 costs, and weighs, a little more. The 4.1 is the same as the Powercore, but with Ti instead of aluminium. I have had the Q4 on my 630 for the past six months, managed to get a deal right here on CH from a fellow who bought it but never installed it. I can only compare it the stock exhaust, that being said I am real happy with the upgrade. There is definitely more power, and with the quiet insert it doesn't seem that much louder than stock. Probably the best upgrade I have done so far.
I have no idea. Hall's took that out and shipped it to me before I even got the bike.Cheers, was there any power differences or just the tone?
Decided to part with the Arrows. I have been running with the FMF for a long time now and prefer the look and weight savings as I am mainly riding off road. See ad in classified section. Link below.

The European model 630s have purcupine spikes insted of the maze in the airbox lid. Had to remove most of them to instal the EHS intake membrane. But I don´t think teat the maze or the spikes have much to do with impeding the air intake tfrom the snorkel. It seems their main function is to create space between the filter foam and the airbox cover in order to let more air in over the surface of the foam filter.
Interesting.
So does the FMF etc setup that you have now, have the same level of performance as the Arrows kit ?
No way. The Arrows are stronger. See my earlier post in this thread for comparison (subjective).

The non USA version, and as it is said, the pegs are to keep the foam away from the inside of the cover to allow for a larger field of foam to filter air. I have removed the snorkel, but kept the rest as is...
