• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Funny that you hate Arctic Cat so much, since they are run a lot more like Husky was.... much smaller factory, with much more of a family feel and very cool race department. BRP on the other hand seems like KTM to me, much bigger and a little faceless.

On the clone thing... There are still some Husky guys who won't ride an Italian Husky after 25+ years. I know, because we still ride together. They missed some great bikes and you might miss some too.
Norm. Certainly not trying to start anything with anyone. Simply put we ride what works for us and it is unfortunate that I have had ALOT of seemingly BAD Artic Cats. And for the record I am not the only one. I have a fellow friend who also buys and sells and he stays AWAY from Artic Cat unless a smoking deal. And also does not ride them when for sale. The newer ones seem to have made great strides. I sure understand the Swedish Italian thing and respect the Swedish only guys as well as the Italian only guys. Oh I might miss some. Sure. But at this point KNOW ONE. Possibly SP himself is sure where the next cream of the crop Husqvarna's will be produced. My speculation is based off the FACT that Husqvarna has a better 4-stroke design then the current KTM bikes and that the new 2-strokes were about ready to be released. So I don't feel we will see a cloned bike. Am I right or wrong? I wouldn't bet in either direction. When you find out for sure PLEASE let me know!:) And remember I must not hate Artic Cat to bad as I wouldn't run you over!!!(PS Had a Artic Cat 4-wheeler and had NO problems. Just with sleds. A fast A-guy will find out the shortcomings of ANY brand anything faster then a B or C rider, whether it is reliability issues or handling etc... I have heard the very latest sleds are a step ahead. Most of the sleds I buy and sell are app 1990-2007 So that is what I am basing my statement off. Thanks.
