• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Enough of the BS and DRAMA. Whats your best or favorite Husqvarna moment prior to the SP buyout?

Among a billion other reasons this site is superior.
Lets not "go there".

My favorite upcoming Husqvarna event (although I would be unable to do it for a couple of weeks at least) is to put a skid plate on my TR650 so I can lift it up to a proper height, and tear into it. A lot of projects planned ("how to" vids for instance).

I don't have this long history of riding Huskys like the rest of you, but man, I just love riding my TC. Cold weather, hot weather, tracks, trail or desert. For being so "slow" the bike absolutely hauls a$$ and can lay roosts like a mutha.
I used to marvel at the desert rcers as a kid. They all rode Huskys. The bikes were exotic, fast and sounded cooler than an A-10 Warthog laying down some rounds of 30MM in the middle of the Imperial Desert.

Dunno if I completely agree with you there. Belt fed, high caliber, rotary cannons are pretty magical. I'd perhaps phrase that they sound "as cool as"... :busted:

Sir, Yes Sir**************************************** My little brother and I did see this over the weekend. We were sitting in camp, just the other side of the bombing range, and having a beer then "BRRRRAAAAAAAPPPP!!!"

The day after I sold my 08' Yamaha wr250r. I bought the bike brand new from Yamaha of Napa(when they were still open). I had it 11 months and not impressed. Got back from a very disappointing ride and swore I was selling that bike. The next day I drove by the dealership and my baby was sitting out front as a trade in. The sales guy said he would put the bike in the back for me, just get my bike sold soon. 11 days on craigslist and it was gone. Next morning I was the second owner of a 08' TE 510 with 695 miles. My wife was pissed and said that I better be happy with this bike. So every time I throw a leg over my Husky, I make sure to tell her how bad ass my bike isimage.jpg

Back in 1974, I was jumping my newish XL125 and bottoming the suspension on every landing.
When on of these passed me in midair, with the exhaust about level with my right ear singing sweet two-stroke songs, as it jumped over twice as far as I had been.
I fell hard for Husqvarna that day, but for some strange reason I have never owned one.

Any brand new Husky day is a great day for me only had 5 of em so far so the KTM mob had better not cruel it for me in the future.

...I have so many fond memories of my past (up to today)14 Husky's that I really can't pin point one...I began my racing career at 15 (1973)on a my first Husky ..a used 1969 CR 250 with updated Mikuni carb and 4 speed tranny..got my ass litterly handed to me those first several races and man did I want to quit..picked up '74 Mag 250 and boy did things turn around!!!I have never looked back and started my long time love affair for Husqvarna...I never set the world on fire with my racing even tho I had a lot of top finishes ...the Marque has always been good to me.Now my son is on his 3rd Husky and even though we can't race much because of finances,it is actually extremely enjoyable to just hang out with him and "play' race in our hidden woods track! Father/Son moments like these are the BEST!

Uncrating my 07 WR 125 and 09 WR 125 of course!!

Fondest memories have to be Bartosz Oblucki and Mika Ahola RIP wringing the crap out of the Husky 125s. LOVE watching vids of those guys on the Husky tiddlers.

This is what I am talking about! Positive awesome times! An I am sure they will continue! I still remember clearly taking the 1993 Husqvarna brochure for their 250 2 stroke to my banker and sitting down with him showing him the brochure and telling him I need one of these!!! A week later on my way to Wisconsin and a happy camper I was!!

Thanks for all the Likes on my B&W pics from the 1970s, I have spent 13,000 miles on my TE450, I guess I've been trying to recreate the good memories of my past, that's impossible, but I did succeed in creating a whole new set of good memories, ...on a Husky again.

My favorite Husqvarna moment has nothing to do with me. And nearly everyone here is probably familiar with it.

The last 5-10 minutes of On Any Sunday.

3riders.jpg

Best personal moment?
- Any time I make it up a really tough (for me) climb.
- Using my horn to alert someone I'm about to pass.
- Using my turn signal to let the rider behind me know I'm turning
(converse: forgetting to turn the damn signal off for the next 15 minutes)
- locking just the right line as I rail a berm
- catching air over a water bar only to see some deep sand or mud just on the other side.
and then landing in it and navigating it without incident.
- all the people coming up to admire my Husqvarna and ask questions about it
I don't see that happening to Honda or KTM riders! :p

My son was chased by a bunch of hillbilly rednecks while on my Fast By Ferracci 125!! That thing would rev to the moon!! He said it did a few strange things after being held WFO for over 3 miles!! But never let him down!!! They are also fun for passing bigger bikes****************************************
